Good morning,
Definitely last update from me until last week but had to log on to computer so thought I'd clear the updates so far.
Excellent OP curlygirl, all updated for you. I completely understand the desire to have savings as a safety net.
Good to see you Barny, I've updated your OP for March, hope that's ok.
Hi froddington, I've put your payment into April, hope that's ok. (Using patterns of OPing so I could easily be wrong!)
Thanks for the good wishes LavenderBees and curlygirl!
Good luck with deciding on your target viv., those are quite punishing interest rates so you're doing entirely the right thing. And, yes, we all had to start somewhere!
From the googledoc, icklehelen you are our newest joiner and are No.147 on the spreadsheet. Your first OP for March is logged and I wish you luck with your OPs while on your maternity leave. Every penny counts so any OP is better than no OP!
Finally, jaywhooppee you're April OP is updated on the spreadsheet too.
OK, I hope you all have a great week and Easter break and I'll see you all in a week or so's time.
Take care,

Errrmm, ok, but I'm not sure why as it's still March. I always make an OP on payday and it usually gets added for that month. Not that it makes much difference as long as the total is the same.

Ecoelle again, managed to get to the bank before they closed and made a final OP for March of £250.92
Brings my total OP for March up to £392.48
Thanks x0 -
All updated for you ecoelle, well done.
So now I'm nervous, I seem to have done everything other than the stuff needed in the early hours. That's why I'm back on the computer. There must be something I've forgotten! Best go check again.
Take care,

First of April - can't pay any earlier than this...
I've just checked and the schedule for transfers has been taken for April - remainder of the balance from £2k minus normal mortgage payment of 887.41, thus I've just overpaid 1,112.59. Here's how it's now looking for me year to date:
#29 - Overpay by £10,400.00.
Month: Ideal Pay / Ideal Total / Ideal % / Actual Pay / Actual Total (Diff) / Actual %
January: 866.67 / 866.67 / 8.33% / 862.59 / 862.59 (-4.08) / 8.29%
February: 866.67 / 1,733.33 / 16.67% / 1,202.59 / 2,065.18 (+331.85) / 19.86%
March: 866.67 / 2,600.00 / 25.00% / 1,112.59 / 3,177.77 (+577.77) / 30.56%
April: 866.67 / 3,466.67 / 33.33% / 1,112.59 / 4,290.36 (+823.69) / 41.25%
Total overpaid: £4,290.36
Off to update via google docs.
Thanks,

MFW 32 - Hi everyone, just popped in with April OP of £240. Really pleased that mortgage is now down over ten thousand from when I first started OPs 20 months ago. Also hoping to negotiate good deal on car to reduce that cost and be able to put up future OPs just a tiny bit more. Good Luck to everyone and wishing Spigs a Very Happy Holiday too.MFW - number 11
OP Target for 2014 £1500 Mortgage now £437450 -
Number 54 checking in with a quick £25 for April.
Status Update:
My credit card is all paid off for now before the interest free period ends. I juggled it around a little bit so still have a little to pay on another card next month but its down from £3k to zero in 4 months so very pleased with myself.
Planned a bit more of my budget for the next 12 months. I already had it mostly planned out but was missing events like birthdays and Christmas which can be quite expensive so have budgeted these in now.
Added my savings account details to my current account so I can make payments to it again for long term savings. I currently see my overpaying as an emergency fund but wouldn't ever want to touch it unless it was 100% necessary so trying to save a little bit extra on the side.
On the downside I joined a gym as the wife wants to get fit and thought it'd be nice if we both went so that's another £50 a month out of my budget. I've promised myself if I don't go enough I'll cancel the joint membership and change it to her only, its not on a contract so isn't so bad but the thought of paying £600 a year each to use the gym and pool terrifies me so will have to make full use of it to get our moneys worth.0
