Hi everyone,
Nice and steady ajmoney, all updated for you.
From the googledoc, brilliant OP UnionGirl smashing through your target, congratulations. :T
Also a lovely positive adjustment for the November OP of Lulabelle1, all recorded.
Finally, a fantastic December OP from Sue Donim (who still has probably the best name on the challenge!!!) is now updated.
See you all later or tomorrow.
Take care,

#50 here with my final £500 OP for 2012, bang on target. If I carry on at this rate the whole thing will be gone in just over 3 years.....11 years ahead of the original 25 year term.....just shows how much difference OPing makes. I was doing small OPs in the beginning and built up o £500 a month.
Thanks for looking after things Spiggle. What goes around comes around.....I hope!0 -
ElusiveLucy, that is a phenomenal example of the difference OPs make. I wish I had started earlier. It's never to late to make a difference though. I didn't get round to OPing until year 12 but if all goes to plan I should still finish between 4 and 5 years early - 5 years to go and I have already planned the party! :beer:MFW - number 11
OP Target for 2014 £1500 Mortgage now £437450 -
No 31 reporting. Final overpayment made for December is £57.
Just wanted to say THANK YOU to Spiggle for keeping this thread updated - it has been highly addictive :rotfl:.
Also wanted to wish everyone well on their MFW targets and those of you who will be going over to 'mfw2013'. I have decided (for the time being) not to join 'mfw2013' due to Hubby being made redundant, so my recent mortgage overpayments are sitting in our offset savings 'pot' waiting to be paid to the mortgage once he finds a new job.
Happy Christmas everyone :xmassign:0 -
No 103 - £100 OP made today
Final one for 2012!
Looking forward to more OPs in 2013 :j

Hi All,
Just registering my latest overpayment, £622 this time. Which brings the total overpayments for 2012 to £12,216.
I missed my second target of £12,500. But I'm happy that I beat the original target of £5,000 so easily.
I hope everyone has a good Christmas and see you in 2013.MFW 2015 - #88 £3,345 / £3,500

number 97 back in to play, i had hoped to have paid more this year and was doing really good at the start of the year, but life got in the way, however i have paid another £100 off my total, meaning i dont make my full amount this year but i have made a dent
hope everyone is good and getting there0 -
just had a wee peak at the totals ... wow we are doing great ... 7 people have celared their mortgage and out of 158 people ... only 4 chose not to get above 0% well done people fantastic0

De lurking briefly to wish all the 2012 challengers a Happy Christmas and yet again to thank Spiggle for running the challenge. I'm glad someone will take up the reins for next year.
Would like too applaud those who crossed the finishing line after me, cheer on those approaching the end and encourage the rest of you onwards - baby steps maybe but you'll get there. Its liberating when you do in so many ways. The mortgage disappeared off my radar formally on 1.10.12 but without any letter of congratulations from the HSBC - just a rather formally worded letter saying pay the land registry £x and you'll see you own the pine and artex palace. In true MFW spirit I declined, have continued my MF ways and next year there will be somewhat less pine and artex with the arrival of a shiny new bathroom and kitchen. Good luck all MFW 2013 - may your dreams become true

Hello everyone,
Brilliant ElusiveLucy and, as lighthousescotland says, you're a shining example of the benefit of OPing. Congratulations on crashing your target! :T
Super OP sweetdaisy, I hope your hubby finds a new job early in 2013. Well done with your achievement this year!
Excellent final OP for the year froddington and good luck to you for 2013.
Marvellous OP Tony_R and considering the level of increase in your target, I think achieving 97.73% of target is stunning.
Great to see you back elantan, your OP is updated and I wish you luck for 2013. By the way, I did a mid year tidy up contacting everyone who hadn't posted an OP and removed those who didn't respond. Those 0% challengers still on the spreadhseet requested to stay on as they anticipated making OPs in the latter half of the year. Got to keep things tidy!!!
From the googledoc just one OP to record, the wonderful final OP of the year from Southernman.
Thanks for delurking Puddle, it's really good to hear from those who have made MFdom a reality.
You and all the other challengers are most welcome as it has been a pleasure to look after this thread over the year. I'm only sorry I can't commit to 2013 but I know the thread will be in safe hands with VoucherMan.
By the way, I intend keeping the challenge live until at least the end of January so that any late reporters may be mopped up before declaring our final total.
See you later,
SpigsMortgage Free October 2013 :T0
