I work for the Woolwich and know that everyone who calls in will have the difference refunded plus interest and payment will be made by CHAPS.
I'm amazed and very grateful to you chivers1977 (and of course to the site). I just called Woolwich on the off-chance that they may have overcharged me for switching my mortgage from them to the Nationwide back in 2003....
Wasn't expecting it to be so easy - the guy worked it all out there and then on the phone, said I'd overpaid by £100, added interest, so in the space of a 2-minute call I now have £106.25 winging its merry way into my account in three days time. Woohoo!

Just called Halifax. In July 2003 it was £75 and in September 2005 when I moved from them it was £175. A refund of £100 is in the post now.
Took no more than 5 mins on the phone0 -

I suspect that the person you spoke to didn't know what they were talking about. I would call again.
yep was thinking the same, just wanted to check - I have registered it again with A&L and they said they would contact me in 5-7 working days. I have also used one of the letter templates and put it in writing as well.
Have to wait and see..........:j0 -
