Hi Cherryjack and BTD - I know we do have orange wednesdays but I'm not with orange. I'm sure there has to be some sort of vouchers for the cinema but danged if I can find them. I will have to have a nosy.
I'm still pushing for Arthur Xmas. I know it's the kids choice but thankfully there is little else on that I can take the 4 year old to. He would love to see Twilight but getting him to understand what age appropriate means is a bit of a struggle. Very strong willed like his mum:D
My final spends of yesterday was £2.37 on 2 chicken breasts - OH had rice and curry in fridge so it worked out quite cheap for dinner.
OH is up and away from 5 for work and I know it's a bad thing to say but I love my Sundays to myself. He doesn't work every Sunday otherwise it would be a pain.
We've been dating for 4 years - my niece asked me on Thurs if we had kissed yet. Anyway my bugbear is that I want to know where this relationship is going as in I want a ring, marriage, white picket fence and one kid.:D. I was going to leave it to new year before I do the heavy talk. He's doing up his living room at the minute and my idea is to turn the old living room into a dining room and then knock through an arch from the kitchen. Of course this is fantasy land, last night he said that once he has the living room done he has to get the kitchen et al sorted for me. I said that sounds very serious and he just said yes. Gulp. Might not need serious talk after all. I think because I've bottled up my emotions for so long I find it hard just saying how I feel and what I want.
Ok today's plans
- mass
- ebay
- read papers
- tidy and iron in my own house.
Have a great day everyone and wrap up warm as the snow is supposed to arrive.

Hi all
So today has been quite productive -
- [STRIKE]mass[/STRIKE] - done
- [STRIKE]ebay[/STRIKE] - took ages to upload but 2 items on.
- read papers - work in progress
- [STRIKE]tidy and iron in my own house.[/STRIKE] - done
I also went to my Dad's grave and cleaned and weeded it. For whatever reason none of the family visit it regularly - I suppose we feel that he's not really there. Anyhow it's all tidy for Xmas.
At the moment I'm 5 days in work this week with no meetings to escape to...it's going to be a long week:)

Hi all
Oh it's cold here and we have snow but not very much:)
I stopped at Mr Ts for diesel (extortionate) and £8.32 of bits to last me the week as well as nurofen and lemsip. I had to ask a colleague for 2 headache tablets last week so making sure I'm stocked up this week.
Spends yesterday were £3.62. I gave Mum £10 to get our 2 papers which should be £2.50 but she also got some treats for my nephew. It all adds up. Next time I'll give her £2.50 exactly:)
Yesterday OH put me on the spot about something and I panicked but in reality it wasn't a big deal however I immediately felt the eating disorder sneaking up on me but I beat it back down with a big stick:D. I thought I had the emotional side sorted but obviously I'm not quite there yet but I'm a hell of a lot further on than I was.
I'm trying to get back out to circuits class in the evening but I'm just always very tired and drained in the evening (all part of recovery). I'm not going to worry about it until the New Year.
I think (but don't quote me) that I should manage at least 2 NSDs this week.
I have a Xmas dinner to go to on Wednesday but it's all paid for and I'm not drinking, so money saved.
Speak to you all later0 -
Hi all
I had a go at updating the frugal spreadsheet last night and I think it needs a few more tweeks before it's a work of art:D. I think that with being frugal (with slight dips), I should be able to pay off all my debts and have some savings by the end of next year. Fingers crossed.
It's cold here today and the heating system in work is playing silly beggars. I'm the Premises officer so I've had it in the ear all morning. i've contacted the engineers and put out electric heaters which is allowing the heating to stay at a temperature just bordering on the level that staff can go home at. I know some of the staff are hoping it will die completely:D. One of the guys in the building said that I wasn't doing my job properly:mad: not sure what he expects me to do. Fault reported, heaters are out, temperature is being maintained. I'm not Bob the builder and he's not even my staff.
No plans this evening and it's a great feeling0 -
Morning all
oh i could stay in bed as I can hear the wind and rain lashing outside.
I had my first Xmas dinner last night which was lovely. I was home about 11.30 and it took me a wee while to settle down for the night. I decided to have a lie in this morning but woke up even earlier than usual.
I had paid for my dinner in advance and I was driving so I spent £0 money yesterday and had a brilliant night:T
Also in other news I was presented with champagne for my contribution to a voluntary club:T. I would love to give full details but a wee bit paranoid that like superman my identity would be revealed to family/friends:o. It was so thoughtful and kind and totally unexpected. I'm not really a fan of champagne but that's not the point:)
Tonight is cinema night with N&Ns but I have no idea what we are going to see and I need to decide so that I can make arrangements to pick them up.
It's nearly the weekend and I have my 2nd xmas dinner on Saturday. Again paid for in advance and I'm taking OH so he can buy some drinks:D
Next week I'm flying over to England for sister's graduation, my Mum and I always visit her at this time of year so really looking forward to it.
Ok todays planned spends
- 55p mail as it has the women's section
- cinema with n&ns
Have a good day everyone:)

Thanks BTD, I'll struggle but will manage the champers:D
Well the cinema.......... only took 2 nephews and we saw Happy feet 2 which I thought was great:D. I had told nephews they could have 1 small drink to share and 1 popcorn and if they wanted sweets we could buy them outside. Of course when we got there we also had 1 small bag of sweets (tiny tiny bag)- the cost.......£22.40:eek::eek::eek::eek::o. How could any family go to the cinema at those price? It will be a long time before we go back to the cinema.
I also gave nephew no 1 £10 as he's visiting my sister in England this weekend with his dad. He's also my godson so the Xmas budget is now in the minus figures.:o
The lovely postman delivered my car tax renewal form which is £114 for the year.
Work are driving me nuts as I'm waiting for my travel claim to be approved but it has been selected for audit. I worry as I'm paranoid that I've made a mistake on the distances but I've double checked and they should be ok. I don't think they realise that I need that money and it can't be sitting with them querying the amount. I'd understand if I'd been contacted and told why it had been delayed but I had to find that information out by contacting them:mad:
This evening I'm getting pampered:D i'm getting my eyebrows waxed and eyelashes tinted and then sister is doing my faketan. I'm also getting my hair trimmed tomorrow. Xmas budget will be so far through the floor it's not funny.

Hi all
My expenses have cleared:D, it's not much but I did a shocking amount of miles last month and I need the money to clear my cash back card which i use solely for petrol.
Today was a good day and I went and got my eyebrows waxed and eyelashes tinted at a cost of £16.50:eek: but they sooo needed it. I know I should do it more regularly as it makes such a difference and maybe when I'm debt free again it will be an ongoing treat to myself.
Well this is amazing. My mum and I spend an awful lot of time looking after my nephew. Won't go into details but basically his father is an alcoholic druggie waste of space and is almost out of the picture and my sister isn't the best. My nephews fathers family try to do their best but it's all very complicated (social services etc). My nephews family gave my mum £100 today for me and her for everything we do for my nephew. but they also gave Mum money solely for my nephew. Mum tried her best not to take it because it's not the familys fault that their son/brother is an !!!! and my sister isn't that much better. I've taken £30 out of the envelope as my share but to be honest the money will end up being spent on my nephew in some shape or form.:) It shows you that there are some wonderful kind hearted people out there.
Ok nothing planned tonight. Have a bath, fake tan and ring OH to see how his day has gone.
