    Hi all

I was on a half day today so managed to get some bits and bobs done. I even managed to rejoin the library:). It's free and will save me spending money on books.

I've also sent a final payment to Mr T so the plan is that I will have to live without a credit card. It's like going cold turkey:o. I borrowed money out of the credit union but I don't feel so bad because I also have money in the credit union. The interest free period ends this month for Mr T so I had to do something.

OH is cooking dinner tonight (buying a take away), it's his money so I can't complain. I just need to pick up a beer for us.

I have £40 to last me until next Wed (pay day) - it's going to be very very very very tight:eek::o:o:o. Every month it's the same and I never learn but hopefully this month I will have a bit left.

    Evening everyone,

I'm just back from swimming pool and no kids drowned so that is a result:D.

I had 15 mins at the end of the day to doodle away at my financial position for 2013. I know that I'm thinking way ahead but as I won't be debt free in 2012 I may as well focus on 2013.

So plans - by the end of the year I will have £830 left of my car loan and £1036 left of my credit union loan (this assumes I keep making same repayments) so debt at start of 2013 = £1866.

The plan is to pay the car loan in full in my start of Feb pay. The credit union loan I will just keep chipping away at as I have a few objectives for money in 2013.

    Plans 2013 -
    • clear car loan start of Feb
    • pay rates in full
    • pay car insurance in full (April)
    • Pay tv licence in full
    • clear credit union loan

I can't wait to finally say that I'm debt free. To achieve these goals the pennies will have to be watched for the rest of this year and next. Oh to win the lottery.

    Hi all

I'm still in a pondering planning mood so putting my ideas down for my spends in Oct that are coming out of my holiday savings. I've moved my savings into my general account so savings are back to £0 for the holiday fund -

    HSBC account - £748

    New door £405/actual £407
    Xmas dinner [STRIKE]£29[/STRIKE] - paid
    Running - [STRIKE]£12[/STRIKE] - paid
    Coach transfer (holiday) - £45
    Car parking (holiday) - [STRIKE]£50[/STRIKE] - actual £30
    Euros - £[STRIKE]200[/STRIKE] - changed = £230 euros

    Total £741.

OH now owes me £360, so things aren't that bad. I think he will have a kitten when he realises how much he owes me :). He will probably suggest he covers food and outings but I'd rather have the cash.

In my purse today I have £46 (found £6 extra).

    Purse - £46

Estimated spends from purse this weekend -
    • takeaway £10
    • wine - £5
    • pilates £4
    • bootcamp £10
I will update all the figures above when I do the actual spends. 5 days to pay day:(

    Purse spends left - £30.71

I think it's time for an early night. OH is working all weekend so I'll just get busy tidying and ironing:(

    Morning all :)

It is a glorious morning here and when I look out the study window I can see the mist rising of the river. Perfect start to the day. However on the bad front I've just made toast and coffee and I don't know how long the butter was in OH's cupboard but it's rank. I then tried some branflakes and they were stale. So I'm now sitting here with just coffee:o. Now I may be using a sterotype but typical man!!!!!

Plans this morning are to clean kitchen & living room in OHs house and then on to Pilates followed by cleaning my own home & the dreaded ironing. I could clean all day rather than touch the ironing. I need to pop to shops for tonights tea and get some butter.

So I went for a run yesterday and it was fantastic. I managed 4.5 miles with only a little knee pain at the end. I wore my Skins (compression leggings) and I think that made the difference. I would love a new pair but as they are nearly £50 a pop I shall just make the ones I have last (& wash them:D).

I also need to have a nosy in the wardrobe to see what I'm going to take on holiday with me. I have a budget of £50 this month to spend on holiday clothes. I suppose I wont know if I need anything until I look. If it was a hot holiday I have clothes from previous years but this one I'm not sure what the weather will do. If I need anything I will head to Primark first but I'm loath to spend money solely for holiday so I'll try and accessorize and that will do me over the winter too.

Things I would like to buy if I wasn't as poor as a church mouse.

    - Skins (£40 -£50 ish)
    - New sports bra (this is now verging on a necessity:o)
    - new Pink CD when it comes out
    - new winter boots (wedge heels)
    - skinny jeans
    - winter jumpers (Primark)

My theory is that if I write these things down the urge & impulse will go away. I can then buy the things I really need when I have the money. I need new skinny jeans because I have a serious muffin top going on at the minute (thanks ED recovery).

I need to keep my spending diary on here as well to get track of those sneaky pennies & pounds that have recently made a dash for freedom from my purse.

    Morning all

Purse situation is looking a bit hairy scary - I paid for all the things I budgeted for and it wasn't far out but then I had to do a grocery shop mainly for OH yesterday which I put on my debit card so that is me £14 into my overdraft (interest free):o. OH will pay me back but probably not until Tues when he finishes his shift work. He is really good with money and doesn't realise why I'm such a penny pinching monster:D

At the beginning of the weekend I had £46 in purse and it's not there now:o

    • bootcamp [STRIKE]£10[/STRIKE] - £10
    Spends yesterday -
    • Paracodol for OH = £4.99
    • Groceries Mr Ts = £14.48 (now in overdraft til Wed):o:o
    • £2.97 butchers
So I currently have £5.54 in purse which means I've spent £3.21 but I'm not sure what on. I need to keep my spending diary up to date as I go along rather than later in the day.

    Financial position -

    Purse - £5.54
    Overdraft - -£14

Time to get ready for bootcamp and then a day watching F1. I spent yesterday cleaning and ironing so I shouldn't have too much to do today (famous last words).

    Hi all

I'm now sitting here reading diaries with my feet up :D. I've been good today. I've done my circuits class, been to church, put a wash out on the line and made macaroni for lunch.

As I read other people's diaries especially the winter and Xmas threads I'm just adding more to my wish list for Xmas

Things I would like to buy if I wasn't as poor as a church mouse (part 2)

    - Skins (£40 -£50 ish) - 2013
    - New sports bra (this is now verging on a necessity) - £31.50
    - new Pink CD when it comes out - OH can buy for my birthday
    - new winter boots (wedge heels) - still tempted
    - skinny jeans - Next?
    - winter jumpers (Primark)
    - ab wheel (£7.99 jjb) - need to think if I would ever use it
    - new pilates trousers and mat (Decathlon?) - old ones are shameful:o
    - anamalz reindeer (blame the Xmas thread:o) - £4.50 don't need but it would be lovely at Xmas
    - gil holcombe cookbook (Blame winter thread) - £8 but don't really need.

I am such an impulse shopper so I will continue to write my list (it's cheaper than buying the stuff:D. The one thing I know that I need to buy out of that list is a sports bra.

    Morning

Last week of work before holidays:j

Today should be an NSD - they are few & far between recently:o. I've subscribed to the frugal challenge again for some ideas.

As you know I can't diet so trying to keep healthy & happy with exercise & regular eating. I have to go to gym which I don't like to work on my hip strength - physio orders. So these are my exercise plans - jotting it down to keep me on straight and narrow.

    • Mon- Rest
    • Tues - gym
    • Wed - circuits
    • Thurs - gym
    • Fri - run with friend
    • Sat - Pilates
    • Sun - run or bootcamp

I know it can look like a lot but I love pilates & if I could replace the gym I would.

    Have a great Monday everyone:D

    Financial position -

    Purse - £3.54
    Overdraft - £-19.95

I'm about to watch Martin Lewis's new programme:)
