Morning all
I'm on my hollybobs:j. The security guard had to push me out the door last night. I was happy to go but I just didn't want to leave anything undone.
I had a good day yesterday - very busy but it was fun. Intuitive eating is slowly getting eased back on track. Today is Day 11:) and I hope it's going to be a good day.
OH is away to work and had me awake at 5:eek: while he not so quietly plodded round the bedroom.
Plans today -- Pilates (am)
- Shops with my Mum
- Buy salmon for tea
- Clean house
- Pack for our wee holiday
- Speak to parents of nephews and get them organised.
Have a great day everyone

Hi all,
I should be cleaning the house but instead I'm sitting on my sofa having coffee - plenty of time to clean house later.
I tried unsuccessfully to send a text to nephew number 1 dad last night to see what the plans for our holiday are. The message wouldn't send so I tried again this morning - no luck. I decided to turn phone on and off (it works with computers) and lo and behold I have messages from nephew's dad, my sister, and some friends so phone must have been playing up and I didn't realise it. Anyway nephew number 1 is all packed and he has an envelope with some money in it for me
. Not expected but absolutely great no matter how much there is in the envelope.
I have also booked tickets to the Ulster Museum to the dinosaur exhibition which I am sure they will both love and so will I. At least I will continue to win brownie points as favourite Aunty.
I have to add taking nephew to football practice as an extra thing to do today.0 -
Hi all
House tidy and babysitting duties done for today. I'm not packed but I can do that in the morning. I think we've decided to set off about 11 as I think it could get very busy because of bank holiday weekend.
Mum seems to be really looking forward to the break which I'm glad about.
Plans today -- Pilates (am) - not done as I turned up and the class wasn't on:D
- [STRIKE]Shops with my Mum[/STRIKE] - done and I didn't spend any money:)
- [STRIKE]Buy salmon for tea[/STRIKE] - done
- [STRIKE]Clean house[/STRIKE] - done
- Pack for our wee holiday- will do it tomorrow morninig
- [STRIKE]Speak to parents of nephews and get them organised[/STRIKE] - done
Plans now are to make tea and chill with a nice glass of wine. Have a good evening everyone.

Hi all
We're back:). Holiday was excellent but I'm shattered. I have the nephews for another night and I could happily strangle them now:o. I think they are tired too and getting on each others nerves as well as mine.
Hotel was lovely, food great and kept nephews entertained. On way down I stopped the car for nephew no 1 to have a wee. We found a wallet with someones cards and stuff in it so took it to the nearest police station. Last night nephews found money lying in the corridor and I made them hand it into reception, (I just thought how I would feel if I'd lost the money) to teach them the right thing to do. On check out this morning the hotel gave it back to us as no one had claimed it. So today was quite an MSE day
Tonight is pizza and tomorrow is up to the Museum. Thurs is a child free day:T. Everyone always says that having your onw child is different but I'm not so sure0 -
Morning all
Pay day today:j and more of my debt chipped away. On the pay everything by Xmas challenge my debt looks like this - £5075/£7438 (68% paid) . I just need to find another £2363 in 3 months. I think this means that once monthly payments go out I need to find £663 but even if I don't find all of it it's only 8% of debt left.
So paid today and it's back to weekly budgets again (slight reprieve while on holiday:)). I have £230 spending money on everything apart from physio and diesel so for Sept that equates to £57 per week.
On intuitive eating front it went out the window yesterday. I was so thirsty and no matter what I drank it didn't make a difference (period also started). Today is Day 15 and my socks are pulled up and I'm back on the motivation band wagon:D
So time to get up, hit the gym and get nephews in the car and away to the museum.
Speak to you all later0 -
Hi all
Aaaaah intuitive eating has fallen of the cliff. I'm not bingeing but I'm picking at things and I need to get my head sorted. So deep breath and I'll carry on.
On money front things are fine but I have a really bad spendy urge. I've found a gorgeous website called 'Trashy Diva'. They have some gorgeous vintage inspired clothes which I can't affordand I've seen the new Freya 'Ada' bra that I want. I don't need any of these things but as I'm at home I'm nosying round the net and that is a bad thing.
I have 6 weeks (42 days) to my holidays (Italy) and I want to have got a hang of this intuitive eating to feel more relaxed about it all.
I've cleaned the house from top to bottom and now bored. Back to internet.0 -
Hi all
It's hard to believe that tomorrow is the 01st Sept. My nephew started pre-school yesterday and I can't believe he's that age.
I'm starting my intuitive eating again today and this will be Day1. I know on this diary it's really Day 18 but I'm starting again with the support of a bulimia course and today is Day 1 on it. So to save myself confusion today is Day 1 again(it could be considered cheating).
Today's plans -
- Gym
- shops to buy niece a birthday present (budget £20)
- lunch with friend for a girly catch up
- brother & wife visiting this afternoon.
Random money thing - my aunt was chatting to my mum last night and she was saying that her daughter had said that this Xmas she would only be buying for her own kids and maybe a tin of sweets for her brothers & sisters. My aunt was saying that the rest of the family were so relieved as they didn't have the money. I had to smile as I had told my cousin that this is what I did last year and it's great to see that she's thought about it and now the whole family feels relief. It's fine if you can afford it but most of us can't. I did feel like such a scrooge last year but it just felt right.
The local community association has an open night next week to see what courses they will be offering. I think I might sign up for their conversational Spanish. Ok I would prefer Italian but they don't do it
I will spend another 5 mins on the diaries and then head to the gym.0 -
Morning all,
I had such a great day yesterday:j. I made it to the gym (polish halo:D) and then popped to shops and spent £16 on nieces present + £5 in card shop, so I was only £1 outside my £20 budget.
I had a lovely lunch with my friend and it was great to catch up with her. I also ate the same as her and in my head I was saying 'I'm eating too much' (I wasn't) but my friend is a skinny mini and eating with other 'normal' eaters should hopefully batter my stupid ED thoughts out of my head.
I then popped over to see my 2 cousins who I haven't properly chatted to in ages and it was great. I know I need to make more of an effort with my friends as isolating myself is never good.
Last night I had a chinese with OH and we had a couple of glasses of wine but he is working all over the weekend so I won't see much of him.
Money front - it's only the beginning of the month so I should be ok for at least a few weeks. Today I'm going to Pilates so that is £4 but that should be it.
Forgot to say that the guys were out and insulated our loft and put insulation in the walls:) all courtesy of the electricity board. I need to go look at my preparing for winter list and see where I'm at.
I'm off to a kids birthday party later so that is the highlight of the day:).

Hi all, just updated my winter list, I still think it's a bit early to get a lot done on my list just yet but hopefully come Oct I will be in full flow:DList as at 01 Sept -.
Winter Checklist
Clothes
[STRIKE]Wash all coats, scarves gloves [/STRIKE]- done:)
Repair or buy new socks - visit Primark
Check Wellingtons - use Mum's
Polish all shoes and boots
Go back through clothing checking what you need and what you need to replace. Think - what will I wear - what do I need? - plan to do this on Mon 03 Sept
Put away all your summer clothes in either those vacuum bags or in a suitcase for the following year.
Car
Buy in screenwash now (either ready mixed or concentrate)
October make sure all fluid levels in cars are correct
Check tyre pressures and tread levels
Clean car inside and out making sure car has good amount of wax which protect it from harsh elements and salt and grit on the roads which will cause rust.
If possible make sure your car has rubber mats to catch wet and snow. Check Pound shops for cheap mats for £1.00 or so each.
[STRIKE]If possible clean out your garage and put your car away each night. This will also help with insurance premiums as well and save you de-icing in the morning.[/STRIKE] - done 9 Aug :T
Food
Stock up on tinned products such as soup, rice pudding, baked beans and spaghetti. These items will keep as good store cupboard standbys.
Check and clean out your freezer, make a list of what you have and what you need to buy in. Keep at least two loaves of bread in the freezer. A clean frost free freezer will work better than a ice capped one!
If anything crops up on BOGOF and it will keep/freeze for winter buy it and store it.
Create a 'stash cupboard' or area where you can put all of your extra buys away safely.
Batch make homemade soups and freeze. Good idea to do this now while fresh veg is plentiful and it will save on condensation during the cooking/prep during the winter months.
House and garden
Snow Shovel - need new handle for ordinary shovel which will do.
Buy in your logs and coal now while cheap deals are on offer. - logs from OH if I help him chop them.
Clean your home - work in progress
Make door curtains to keep out draughts
Clean windows inside and out
Launder all your throws
Buy in cheap white candles in case of a power cut. Also keep a torch on standby and use in emergency.
If you have oil try to make sure that your tank is stocked up by the end of October - done in July - better last.
Buy in Flannelette sheets.
Decorating - do it before middle of October so that you can air the room and let the paint dry - kitchen needs painted
Cut back everything in the garden late October to give your garden a big boost the following Spring. Roses love this!
Wash curtains and cushion covers
Clean Your carpets on a good warm day so that they have a good chance of drying quickly
Drain any outside taps and protect and cover either with an old towel and then covered over with plastic or buy a proper outside tap cover.
If your interior doormats can be washed in the machine do them.
Re-silicone shower areas where the silicone has turned black or mouldy, take it out and redo it. Easy job but so often overlooked. Having the window open also allows the silicone to cure or go off better.
[STRIKE]Check lightbulbs and outside security lighting if broken replace or repair.[/STRIKE] - got 4 free lightbulbs
Buy in batteries now.
[STRIKE]Put food out for the birds they will so thank you for it. Buy in their food now while it is plentiful.[/STRIKE] - OH working on bird table for me but I have seeds already.
Get your paracetamol, throat lozengers and cough mixtures in now, when you are feeling ill the last thing you want to do is traipse down to Boots having to get it in.- check dates as I have some from last winter0 -
Morning all
OH tossed and turned all night and now he's away to work and I'm shattered. I made the most of it by going out early for a run. I went round the forest and 2 deer crossed my path which was amazing.
I made it to Pilates yesterday which I love and I feel a bit achy for it today.
I also went into Poundstretcher and bought a plastic box for the boot of my car, screenwash & antifreeze = £4.47. I just need to find my ice scraper and that is my car ready for winter. I will get OH to check tyre pressures in Oct.
Yesterday was my niece's birthday party and I did get a bit nervy & anxious but just tried to take deep breaths and managed to make it through the day.
As its Sunday morning I've done my traditional budget plan for the month and if I'm careful I should be ok. Being debt free by the end of the year is probably not going to happen but I'll still be that bit closer.
I'm taking nephew no 2 to cinema today as I'm not sure what else to do with him.
Spends this week should be cinema today, swimming on Thurs and take away on Friday, so I'm budgeting £45 for it all and I've signed up for the NSD challenge.
I think I'm going to go for a swim tomorrow. I swam on holiday and I loved it and I'm trying to stick with things I enjoy rather than doing things because I feel I should. I've lost my swimming goggles so when I come back from the cinema I'm going to take this place apart until I find them.
Sorry for the long ramble today.
