    Hi WBL - wasn't it great to see the pennies finally hitting the bank account:D. The scary thing is that Sept was a short month salary wise :eek:

    So yesterday I spent £50 on diesel. I'm hoping to eek it out to next Fri 05 Oct as I'm not in work most of next week so my travelling should be reduced.

    Not a lot of plans today but I best get started. I'm working close to home this morning so I'm on a go slow at the minute. I'm then up in my normal place this afternoon. I'm taking nephews swimming tonight.

    Tomorrow I have an appointment with a dietician and I've bagged up some old clothes belonging to my sis that she dumped at home and I'm taking them to get weighed at the recycling shop. It might not be much but I'm determined to look after these pennies.

    I think this writing down what I want list is working as I've cooled of on most of the things I want -

    Things I would like to buy if I wasn't as poor as a church mouse

    - [STRIKE]Skins (£40 -£50 ish) [/STRIKE]- can live without for a while
    - New sports bra (this is now verging on a necessity) - £22
    - [STRIKE]new Pink CD when it comes out[/STRIKE] - OH can buy for my birthday
    - new winter boots (wedge heels) - still tempted
    - skinny jeans - Next?
    - winter jumpers (Primark)
    - [STRIKE]ab wheel (£7.99 jjb)[/STRIKE] - wouldn't use it
    - new pilates trousers and mat (Decathlon?) - old ones are shameful:o
    - anamalz reindeer (blame the Xmas thread:o) - £4.50 don't need but it would be lovely at Xmas
    - [STRIKE]gil holcombe cookbook (Blame winter thread) - £8 but don't really need.[/STRIKE] - it would just gather dust with other cook books :o
    - animal print shoes in M&S £19.50.

    Morning all

    I just wrote a long post and the computer went nuts and i've lost it all:(.

    Anyway what I started to say was that I went to the dietician yesterday and she was really lovely. I did learn a few knew things and she recommended a couple of books to me. She had to weigh me to work out my fluid intake and she told me not to look. If you have/had an ED it's good to break all contact with the scales. Anyway I coudn't help peeping and I'm heavier than I've ever been:( and it was really unsettling. However I later went to log my food entry in my recovery app and a wee message popped up saying "you are more than a number":D:D. I'm fit, I'm a lot healthier and eventually I will be a normal eater.

    I also hit the shops yesterday. As you know I have £50 budgeted for my holiday clothes shopping. So I went to that upmarket retailer that we are all familiar with Primark:). I spent £9.50 on a light jumper, leopard print slip on bedroom slippers & a vest for under a jumper I already have. I then went to M&S and bough a pair of leopard print shoes - £15 (I took a mid heel but was tempted by the sky scraper heel:D). I finally ended up in Exhibit and bought a scarf - £6 and can you guess what colour it was ........leopard print. I don't know why I've turned into Bet lynch but they are lovely. I also bought eyeshadow in Superdrug £3.99. So total spends - £34.49

    Finally I had lunch with my Mum and it was worth every penny as we haven't sat out and ate in ages - £12.20

    Spend update so far -

    Groceries - £100/£20.49
    Diesel - £150/£50.00
    Entertainment - £50/£27.49
    Kids swimming - £20/£10.17
    Clothing - £50/£30.50
    Beauty - £20/£3.99
    Exercise - £52/£4 (today)
    Salon - £30/£0

    Total = £472/£146.64

    Hopefully this week will be ok on spends front. I have no plans that require spending money.

    Plans while I'm on my holidays;
    • Gloss the kitchen, living room and bathroom doors;
    • Cut hedges for the last time until Spring;
    • Clean windows;
    • and if we get a dry day to clean the carpet;
    • deep clean kitchen & living room;
    • buy door curtain & hang it;
    • Finally - help OH chop some trees.
    That should keep me out of trouble for a bit.:D

    Morning all,

    I haven't started on my list yet as I'm at OHs house but heading back to mine today. My first task will be to empty out our kitchen drawers and be really ruthless. We can't shut them because of all the junk which we have gathered up and never used.

    Holiday plans are up in the air at the moment as Mr Ryanair has changed our return flight. It's a pain as we have a bus and car parking booked based on the original flight and now we have to use a different airport. We should have expected it from Ryanair but the flight is next week and we thought we were safe:(

    I'm already worried about money this month and that I won't have enough to last me all month. Chopping up my credit card might not have been the best idea:o but I think I'm panicking for no reason. I have £100 of expenses due hopefully by the end of the week and start of next. I've not spent tons except for the clothes I budgeted for. I think I'm just worried as I've paid out more for our holiday than OH and I keep paying out more IYKWIM. Ryanair have said that we could have a refund and OH suggested that he could take the refund. I could have thumped him as I know he's not looking forward to it anymore but he isn't thinking about me. This happens no matter what we plan or do.

    Things will be better next month as I'm not going on holiday:D. Next month is also the last month for paying into the Xmas savings.

    I think I just need to do some therapeutic cleaning and I'll be grand.

    Afternoon all:D

    Very productive day. I have cleaned the kitchen. I emptied the junk drawers, went through the cupboards and rearranged and dumped junk and out of date stuff. I don't mind things that are slightly out of date but I found a pot of basil that was dated July 2007:eek:. Mum kind of shadowed me while I was doing it and was even trying to make a case for keeping the basil:D

    I then cleared out our cloak room. It was full of coats that are done or belong to other family members from years ago so the whole lot are bagged up and in my boot to be taken for recycling.

    Tomorrow I would love to get the windows cleaned as it is bit of a pants job but the weather isn't looking good.

    I'm also pampering myself by getting my hair done tomorrow.

    Hi all

    Quick update - the man is coming tomorrow to put in my new kitchen door:D. It will cost me money but will be so worth it. In the last 3 years I have replaced the front door and double glazed the windows. So far this year the loft has been insulated as well as the walls. Is it sad to be all excited:D:D
    but I think that is the house prepping done for a while (until something goes wrong).

    Morning all

    I'm up early as I have to see a man about a door :j. I was just looking at doormats for Xmas on another thread:o.

    Anyway I'm abandoning my nice planned budget from a few posts back and I basically have £180 to cover everything for the month (excluding diesel) so I've worked it out that we have 4 weekends this month and I've budgeted £40 a week. I also have my nephews birthday so the extra £20 is for his present. I'm writing it all down here to keep me honest.

    I am going on holiday next week and I don't think I need anything for it apart form euros so no extra spends for me this month.

    I will make a big pot of carrot and lentil soup today (already have ingredients) and that should last me the rest of the week.

    Wish me luck:D

    Hi all

    I have a nice new kitchen door:). It smells a bit with the silicone and they chipped 3 good pieces of plaster out but I do have filler and extra paint so I can fix it all tomorrow.

    Today I managed to clean the windows. The back window which is hidden from view is very much neglected and it was such a horrible job as there were a few of those spider cocoon things on all the windows ..bleurgh. I'm not especially scared of spiders but those egg cocoons turn my stomach.

    Spends today doing well as I've kept myself busy round the house. I'm taking the nephews swimming tonight and i doubt there will be any change from £10 but swimming will be on hold until the end of Nov. One of my nephews has his entrance exams to prepare for.

    I'm looking for some star stickers. I read on the ED recovery thread about a girl who awarded herself a sticker every day she didn't binge/purge and put it on her calendar to see her progress. I'm over the purging but still struggling with bingeing so going to find myself some stickers:). I would like to see a calendar full of stars.

    I got my hair cut yesterday and it's a bit short. I will probably get used to it eventually.

    Morning all

    Spends yesterday £8.40 at the swimming pool. It was a good night and I now have a break from swimming for about 6 weeks.

    Today's plans are quite boring -
    • [STRIKE]ironing[/STRIKE] - done
    • fill in missing plaster round door - still to do
    • take clothes for recycling (they are still in the boot of my car) - still to do
    • [STRIKE]clean house[/STRIKE] - done
    • [STRIKE]put feet up[/STRIKE] - done:rotfl:

    I also need to print of my boarding cards and book car parking which I will do tomorrow.
