They are never on offer in any of the supermarkets, Costco do a pack of 3 for £8.xx - either cappucino or mocha I think. They used to do twin packs for £5.xx, but have recently changed to 3-packs - they no longer do the 'black' coffee packs of americano/espresso, which is what I used to buy. If you buy the black coffee packs, you get 16 coffee pods per box, if you buy the milky drinks, you get 8 coffee and 8 milk pods per box.Debating whether to or not, is there anywhere to purchase cheap pods from.
Edit: Amazon sell the milk pods on their own in packs of 50, not sure how much though as I drink mine black. Viking Direct had a very cheap offer on last year where they were less than half price I think, but I have looked regularly and not seen anything like that since.0 -
Amazon are doing the phillips senseo at £35 down from £100 dont know how this compares to the dolce gusto :-

Viking normally charge a kings ransom for pods and they have pricing tiers.
Lots of us on here had some bargains from Viking earlier this year but we had lots of trouble as they couldn't cope with the volume of orders.
Annoying that only a few varieties in the supermarkets and you have to order with the parcel coming from DG in Germany!!!!!0 -
I just bought the delonghi
De'Longhi Icona ECO310.R Pump Espresso Machine, Scarlet Red
reduced to £79 in currys.

I've had my machine since their release 5 years ago, or so, and I've never descaled it. It's used about a dozen times a day for the hot water alone (saves boiling the kettle) as well as with the pods. Not in a particularly soft water area either, just lucky I guess

As long as the innards don't end up looking like that you should be ok :rotfl: http://www.1st-line.com/images/limescale.jpg
It's just that limescale build up will eventually restrict the flow of water amongst other thingsNow free from the incompetence of vodafail0 -
really the only truly great pod coffee maker is the bosch tassimo, tryed the rest tassimo's the best, although the senseo comes a close second, it's the only one I've had for more than a year without breaking somethingAmazon are doing the phillips senseo at £35 down from £100 dont know how this compares to the dolce gusto :-
