  • 3010 you beauty!!
I've been eyeing up one of these for DH for Crimbo too, thought it might feature in Amazon's Black Friday, but no... Although Amazon have it for £49 too now!

Anyway, that's another present sorted, nearly done now - thanks :)

Tesco have the Dolce Gusto Piccolo for £49.95 at the moment. Not sure if they have other colours but the only ones I have seen are black. I picked one up for the in-laws for christmas.

The Water tank on the Piccolo is 0.6L, whereas it's 1.3L on the model in the OP... Guess it depends how much coffee you're gonna drink :)

The piccolo will take up less space on your worktop, whereas this one is more funky looking - take your pick! The piccolo was reduced to £30ish at argos last Christmas.
  • although I am very happy with the coffee quality these machines make, they are not built to last . We drink a lot of coffee and live in a hard water region, despite regular descaling we are on our 2nd machine in a year ! the first one sprayed hot coffee all over the kitchen when it blew a seal, and now its replacement is causing a lake on the worktop from a leaking valve on the water tank seal . Mr T replaced it the first time but won't change it again , so if you are going to buy one , spend the extra £12 for the 3 year warranty .

Was going to mention this. It also qualifies for the clubcard exchange in Tesco. Depends on what else you buy etc as the clubcard exchange is £10 of vouchers gives £20 spend. So if buying this alone you could change £20 worth of vouchers if you have them, giving £40 spend & just pay £9.95.

Got the extended warranty as well thanks to the above comment as thought it was not too bad for £12.

i thought they came with a 2 year guarantee from the manufacturer? I'm sure mine did, and when I've contacted their c/s they have been ever so helpful, I'd bypass tesco and go straight to Krups. :)
now has her .com delivery but doesnt know where to put it :o

terrible coffee maker, produces such bad coffee i prefer freeze dried stuff. Actually drinking stuff made in a caffietierre that is 10blillion times nicer. oh and our 1st one lasted 4 months with low usage (1 coffee per day max), 2nd one ok for 12 months thus far. ill buy a proper coffee maker at some point when this ones packed up
