Sold some software on eBay

Seems the buyer is a prat. 1st thing on Monday, ring FAST (Federation Against Software Theft) to anonymously report his company for using dodgy copies of Adobe they've bought off Ebay. That'll learn him!0

I've responded giving the buyer two options:
1. Close this dispute and upon closure I will send you a completed license transfer form.
2. Return the item and paypal will refund him.
I also expressed that I am not prepared to argue further about this.0 -
From what I have read it does indeed look like you have a scam buyer, though you have done the right thing in bringing your case here.
You don't have anything to worry about, ebay will look into every detail of the sale and with their expert eyes see straight through the crook!
Keep us posted please on any news0 -
I don't agree that it can be said he is a scam buyer, the buyer has a genuine concern that he can't legally use and update the software until the license is transfered to him. Whether its deregistered from the op's pc or not does not make it any less their's until it's transfered over by name.
If this was the buyer on here asking about getting the licence only after closing a dispute you would all be screaming "no don't close it because you can't reopen it if it doesn't get transfered".
Tbh I'm with the buyer on this one, he can never legally own this until it's in his name.0 -
Check ebay auctions to buy yourself a university doctorate and get your own letters after your name.
Or invent your own. (EbayName I.E.A.T.S.C.A.M.M.E.R.S.F.O.R.B.R.E.A.K.F.A.S.T.)
Let then beat that.
Take you to court monday? I bet it would take them a week to get through on the phone.
You sold 2nd hand used software. They have copied the number and possibly the disc. Now want their money back.
Tell them to whistle. Report it to adobe and see if they can block updates from it.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
The buyer has just closed the case and opened a Not as Described case instead, saying
Now what?Since you dont want to transfer the license in accordance with Adobe procedures, we will send the software pack received to you by special delivery tomorrow morning so you will get it on Monday 28.Nov.2011 before 1:00pm. We will escalate the case with ebay on 04.Dec.2011. We will also issue you with a court claim for the fees plus all expenses incured on Monday 28.Nov.2011. Please confirm that the address to send it to is xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.0 -

Are u for real - have you read the messages and still come to that conclusion. Normal people don't talk like that. He has seen the auction was ended by ebay, and tried it on - first with non receipt and now with not as described.
This is nothing to do with the transfer. Only a fool would think they had a right to upgrade 2nd hand software. The software works, and the buyer as taken a copy of the disc, and the license number - and now wants his money back - simple.
Thats said - op probably does not have a leg to stand on, and will have to repay the money.0
