Sold some software on eBay

I recently sold a valuable peice of software on ebay (Adobe Creative Suite for £310).
The day after the sale, the British Software Alliance cancelled the auction and the buyer opened an Item Not Received dispute. The buyer stated in the dispute that he still wanted the software but demanded it was sent that day by special delivery.
I rushed home from work early to get the software and post it off, spnt £7 on special delivery to post it and submitted the tracking details in the dispute.
The buyer has since noted on the dispute that he received the software but that it is registered and that he wants a full refund. He wants to upgrade to the latest version which he says he cannot do because the software I sold is registered in my name (it isn't because it wasn't registered by me). He said if he doesn't get a full refund by MONDAY he will issue a court claim.
My problem is, my paypal account is currently -£314 because the payment is on hold and I have no way of knowing whether he's taken a note of the serial number so that he can continue with his upgrade, etc.
He also said in the dispute that he spoke to Adobe at aroun 5:30pm however, I just tried to call Adobe and got an automated message saying their business hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
Can anyone recommend a resolution for this?

Eh? Are you sure the buyer hasn't been sending scam emails?0 -

Just had another reply from the buyer saying:This is a final notice to issue a court claim against xxxx and xxxx at BUSINESS NAME at BUSINESS ADDRESS for selling a software without a license. Amount paid is £314. We will be able to proof that the current licence is in your name but can you proof the opposite?! We are not liars. We have spoken with adobe when we said that. We can also ask the court to get your details from eBay and PayPal. Believe it is very easy. The police will also have no problem of getting your details. You will get copy of the claim on Monday 28.Nov.2011. Wait for it. We will also issue claim against ebay for helping you to do this fraudulent activity. Enjoy the weekend before it is too late0

This all stinks of a scam!
I would phone Ebay about this.0 -
I've just spoken to ebay via the online chat and they said to just wait for the conclusion of the case on 2nd December, however, that doesn't help the fact that the buyer is talking about taking me to court on Monday0

The buyer is a director of a limited company and is the sort that uses the letters after his name so yes I am worried that he will try to take me to court.0

Until he at least returns the software you should not refund him. Don't worry about things that almost certainly won't happen - he would be an idiot to try and take you and ebay to court at this stage.0 -

And why would you possibly be worried about the rantings of an empty head - unless you have done something wrong.
Who told you he has letters after his name - him? Anyone can be a director - it cost me £40 to become one.
The email you posted is laughable. Threatening to sue ebay, Enjoy the weekend before it is too late????? Whats all that about?
To get your details - the buyers solicitor or police have to write to luxembourg.
Was the software unused and sealed - or did you get it from someone else, who may have registered it?0
