It reads as a scam.
Letters after him name can mean nothing, put the letters after him name up here, and lets see what they really are
No formal letter you have quoted as an email would be written like that.
Tell him if he wants a refund to send it back to you by trackable means, once you have it ,then you will sort out a refund.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100/100miles

And why would you possibly be worried about the rantings of an empty head - unless you have done something wrong.
Who told you he has letters after his name - him? Anyone can be a director - it cost me £40 to become one.
The email you posted is laughable. Threatening to sue ebay, Enjoy the weekend before it is too late????? Whats all that about?
To get your details - the buyers solicitor or police have to write to luxembourg.
Was the software unused and sealed - or did you get it from someone else, who may have registered it?
Because I'm the sort of person that does worry - £314 is a lot of money to me and now my paypal balance is -£314 I can't do anything.
He sent me an email when the listing was removed from ebay and the signature had letter after letter under his name.
Goodness knows what he's on about with regards to threatening to sue ebay. The trouble is, he hasn't even let the claim go through (he only opened it two days ago). He just seems to be fixated on the fact that the software is registered so he cannot use it to upgrade.
The buyer has my business address and is talking about sending court papers there - can he do that or does it have to be a home address?
The software was used and was sold as such. The software is also 2 generations old so there's no doubt that he knew it was used. The trouble is, neither of us have the original eBay description anymore because eBay pulled it, but I stated in the auction that the software had been de-activated on my pc. I did not mention anywhere about registration, etc. A few members did use the 'ask a question' to ask if it had been deregistered, to which I replied I wasn't sure, however, the buyer did use the 'ask a question' to ensure that I'd send it next day delivery on them winning it but did not ask to confirm whether it had previously been registered.
He is now saying that because the software appears to be registered, I have sold him unlicensed software. Is this true?
It seems to me that he purchased the software either for the purposes of obtaining a 'free' serial number to use for an upgrade or by mistake not realising it would be registered, however, now it appears to be registered, he is expecting to be able to return it and effectively make me pay for his mistake.0 -

Just think about it, Paypal will refund him, hopefully after they are told to return the software to you.
What would his loss be to take it to court. It just does not make sense!0 -

Stop worrying about the court thing. He needs to try and sort it out before he can take action. If he tries to log a case on Monday it will almost certainly be rejected. If he does make a claim you still have 14 days to respond to it - by which time this saga will be long over - and he will have wasted 30 or so quid on the claim.0 -
So the software is used, and may therefore be registered. I assume the only problem, therefore - is when trying to upgrade.
This changes nothing about waiting for the claim to finish - any court action must see all other means exhaused first.
Sounds like you may lose the claim though, if ebay pulled the auction - so it will be paypal on your back for the money back instead.0 -

You haven't done anything illegal (his mention of the police is laughable), the software has just been registered, I would assume it's against Adobe's EULA to sell registered software - so this is going to end in refund I suspect.0
