Thanks for mentioning putting it on the stainless steel draining board. That bit of info is stored up there and shall be drawn upon should I need it
I have one but at a push I could use a wire rack?"A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

I used one of those (not the high ones, hated them when I used to go camping), flat camping stoves -well two actually for 18 months when cooker packed in and kitchen was to be done in the next year ( but eventually took 18 months) and was planning, as I got, a separate hob and oven so didn't want to buy an cooker for that short time. I had a mini oven as well and cooked everything on them. I just placed them on a board over the cooker and all went well.
This reminded me I only have four gas canisters in so must get more as gave son and daughter a stove each for emergencies and gas leaving just the four for me, with the idea I would get more, so on my list for next week.

there you can see my lovely jungle plus the dreaded traffic lights , the fence is 3ft high and you can see grass is far higher in parts, green plants behind the vegetable plots ( under fleece) are my potatoes.......I had up till other week managed to get out and cut the grass round vegetable plots but been so wet not done so although hoping pain meds kick in soon and will do it tonight as been dry and hot all day, although so much moisture in the air that washing I put out when I eventually got downstairs at around 3pm is still as wet.

Good luck Mr Posession
(not my little one, random cute pic off google)
kitschy the amount of knowledge and help the good people on here have/give astounds me. A gardening scheme where everyone benefits
pah my own lawn has sprouted in these wet times and because everywhere is constantly wet its so difficult to cut down. Hopefully they'll go easy on you.
Pops (i love calling you pops) do you mean like a baking cooling wire rack? I dare say so, as long as the stove is stable
I am currebtly digging into 12p desert whip, strawberry flavour - the whole lot (i love it when DH is out) it's good for me, all that calcium :rotfl:

Fuddle, Enjoy! I got ten Muller Rice pots for £3 earlier today...but that is bargain...
Yes that's what I was thinking of...
I added a bit more to my earlier post...I bought some crtaes today and saved so much it has virtually paid for the stove an cannisters. Also the free run to the hospital kind of paid for my shopping earlier in the day...
I quite like being called Pops too...;)
As I say for years I have gone under another name elsewhere and those I talk to have adapted my name and it's quite friendly, informal and affectionate when it's done."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

Very cute pic Fuddle! My DD has just asked who it is. I told her it's a little girl wishing Daddy good luck but actually on first sight I thought it was Suri Cruise! Poor little girl.0
