Morning everyone,
Ginnyknit know how you feel about the supermarkets. Things seem to go up weekly its getting harded and harder to stretch the pennies. I have started to stretch the mince out with lentils and its not too bad.
Fuddle I am also trying to do a meal plan for the month to see if that helps.
I am going to make a couple of draughter excluders today, and then maybe start on a scarf as we dont seem to be having a summer. Its raining and very windy here today.C.R.A.P. R.O.O.L.Z. Member. 21 Norn Iron deputy h

Happ brthday PAH !!!
Fuddle i've pm'ed you x
Well put GQ, it is hard, my childrens grandparent work, except for my bio mum who quite frankly is unemployed and lazy, she 47 years old and has no excuses. I had to leave uni and work because childcare costs way to much. I literally giving every penny to the childminders. when i asked my bio mum to watch the boys for two nights a week from 3-6pm she said oh i can't the schools to far, i'll be in bed. i feel ill every excuse under the sun, i even offered to pay for taxis fare back and forth to her house so she wouldn't have to walk. But no chance. Best thing about it all was the school is literally 2 mins walk from my house, i can see the school from the middle of my street.
My dad (i'm adopted to my grandparents) on the other hand, he's works all the time he's 65 in October and to his credit he adores my boys and out of the blue he said can i take the boys over the garden i.e allotment, to see the pigeons. He turns up straight after work and disappears for 3 hours with them.
while he did this i got on with the accounts and writing out invoices. He's such a star.
In the future if my children have children then i will gladly offer my services as i know how hard it is. It isn't all fun and games juggling everything and trying to cope with it all.
the media just like to pick on people who vulnerable which is disgusting.
Oops i've ranted on a bit to much, sorry0 -
Hear that noise? That's my head hitting a brick wall... :wall::wall:
I just called the DWP again, to see how things were progressing after last week's call. The person who answered repeated the usual: him, your OccP IS taken into account...me, no it isn't...him, I'll just check with my supervisor...silence...him, I'm afraid we can't answer your question as we don't know, I'll pass it on to the appropriate section and they will call you back...:silenced: :undecided

I know, it's so demoralising. I think it's going to be an MP complaint soon. I would almost give up, but it worries me about other people in the same situation and them being told incorrect info. If it wasn't for MSE I would have believed what the DWP told me. I just don't need this aggravation just now.0
