Thank you,being excited doesn't come naturally to me:D but am at the stage of being excited,nervous and downright scared to death :eek:

DS has worked flippin' hard and has now - subject to medical and references - got himself a job! I wish I had a 100th of his confidence! maybe I didn't do such a bad job after all :rotfl::rotfl:

Dont feel like I have stopped moving in days and am hoping for a quieter afternoon today, have to go to bank this morning and have already had a big clean up and declutter in the kitchen.
Now OH back at work its lovely to take back the house and get it organised again.

DS has got his 2:1 - he's not academic and has really struggled,I'm proud of him for not giving up!!!!!

and..... I've bought a house :eek: it's going to need work on it,but I'm hoping I can put everything I've learned on here into practise.It's even got a little garden! At the moment my "garden" consists of a pot of mint:o

The last few years have been yuk but I'm actually feeling a bit better about the future.It's not going to be easy but I know I can do it:D

Congratulations on sons 2:1 and also on buying your home, that is wonderful, you should really pat yourself on the back for achieving this as not easy nowadays so your obviously are a top :money:

Littlecal, what a fantastic achievement, both the house and your DS. And getting a job too, that really takes some doing for graduates at the moment.
I have lots of books coming in the post, some freebies to review from Amazon, others paid for, and DS and myself (and possibly DS's lovely friend) are going to a concert this evening.
Thank goodness for satnavs and Google, the place we are going to has only recently opened and I haven't a clue where it is in the town. Now to iron some more of my summer wardrobe that's been in storage since last Oct, more in hope than expectation tbh.

I've had some lovely cards and a book called A Street Cat Named Bob...(can't wait to read it and such a thoughtful book from a friend in view of my cat sitting activities)...

My first ever garden consisted of a small pot of chives in the tiny paved back yard of a shared rented house in 1983 :cool: I know that proud and happy feeling very well, and I'm sure you'll soon have that garden packed with lovely things! My top tip is to buy a rooted pot of thyme from a supermarket (mine cost 26p on YS) and pot it up into a larger pot in the garden for the summer.

You can do wonders with even a tiny space if you work the light out and use pots/stacks/growbags etc. to full effect.

I am actually mowing the lawn today! We have mostly fluffy white clouds and a decent breeze, although there are a few darker clouds looming around, so I'm getting a couple of loads of washing on the line as well, while I have chance.

Like some others, I don't post often but do read as much as I can - many thanks to everyone sharing their ups and downs on here, you always keep me grounded and remind me what's important in life as well as giving me a good laugh at times too!

Back to the garden with me - I'm not very fit so I do a little bit then come in and read the forums for a bit too.
