Had a little weep earlier but am okay again now... if I could only eat, then I'd have me some chocolate..

Do you have any hot chocolate that you could sip through a straw? Not quite the same, I know...

For those of you who visit Bath then here is the best place to get real hot chocolate. It is heavenly & well worth the price (if you like proper, bitter hot choc).

Am planning on snuggling on the sofa, wine in hand again. Can't beat it!
And I find that looking back at you gives a better view, a better view...

Beccatje you have my complete understanding and sympathy. I've suffered from several episodes of dental pain and seriously I would rather give birth (and that was never plain sailing for me)

7 Week Wonder - congratulations !!!

Well the pre operative assessment appointment gave some scary information that I'm trying not to think about, along with the joyful news that as I have a problem with my blood clotting I will need an injection for the next 3 days. Didn't bother me too much to hear this until the nurse told me that she would need to send a fax to my GP to ask her to issue a prescription for this and .......... I will have to inject myself each evening :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: I seriously do not know how I am going to face doing this.

Off to catch up with the thread properly as I only skim read a few posts on my phone earlier.

Apparently you can practice on an orange.... Sounds daft I know but apparently the same pressure is required on skin as an orange... Ask for some spare needles. I've got friends who have had to do this loads (for IVF) and its not nearly as bad as you think.

Or, you could ask a brave and very trusted friend/partner to do it?

I had to inject myself for a time and managed to do it despite my self doubt. I just thought of all the child diabetics and thought " if they can do it....".

Hope all goes well for you.

Ouch Becca! Hope you're much improved soon.

Taurus, injecting yourself is very easy, much easier than you'd think. The needle you use to inject yourself is so tiny you barely feel it - most people think of the pain and difficulty of a needle for a blood test, but that's much bigger and has to go in a vein. You'll be fine, I'd do it for you if I was nearer!

I know the only thing I ever seem to talk about at the moment is cats so I apologies in advance and please feel free to skip :D

I took all three furbabies (five and a half months) to the vet tonight so they can be snipped tomorrow. I have been informed by the vet that Dinks is not a girl but a boy with very small parts :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: We all call her dinksy doo dah (as we are quite bonkers) well now he is dinks without a doo dah. DH says I am cruel to let him be snipped when we have only known he is a boy for less than a day :rotfl::rotfl:

I don't feel quite so stupid as a vet had checked them out when they were babies and they thought it was a girl also. I did get home and run next door to see if theirs was still a girl :rotfl::rotfl:

The porch still hasn't got a roof or the glass in :( the house is a mess and the cat pen still isn't finished. On the plus side I have listed some things on fleabay and have a few bids.

Popped to mr Ts and bought two tubs of kiwi for 10p each and three bread loaves 12p each.

Any suggestions on what I can do with kiwi? muffins perhaps??

Wow its so windy here today and I have struggled so I cant begin to imagine how bad it must be further north, take care everyone.

Have managed to get lots of animal food in today, so can now last until mid January at least for animals. Made a good start on other bits and also have finally got organised on where and when we are getting the tree. On a side note has anyone noticed how expensive real trees are this year?? Last year we paid about £35 and I was shocked but this year a smaller on would cost almost £70:eek: thankfully I made a trip to a place we used a few years ago and they have some much more reasonable priced trees so we are off on a mission to buy one tomorrow.

Morning all I hope everyone is safe:) Well shopping trip tto Lidl was okay but the quick shop in Asda was a little more than I had planned. I am up early as the dogs rumbling tums woke me when questions were asked everyone in the house thought everyone else had fed them last night, so they have had a really good breakfast (dosen't stop me feeling guilty).

I am off to town today to have a look in the pubd shops and might have a wander through the charity shops as well, what is everyone else up to?

Take care and be safe x

I promise you faithfully this will not be half as bad as you think - I do this weekly and was horrified at the thought when I was first told. It really isn't the problem I anticipated. They won't be asking you to do the big intra-muscular ones like vaccinations in your arm I'm sure. I have a pre-filled syringe, stick a needle onto the syringe, squidge a bit of stomach or top of thigh flesh - the needle goes in without a problem. I truly can hardly feel it. If you are really freaked - do you have a decent GPs surgery with a nurse? If you are mobile enough you might be able to persuade them to let you come along with the syringe and they'll do it for you.
