MAR - How about a Bayless Wind Up Radio/Torch or a Solar charger which can recharge mobile phones, I pods etc. Very OS and useful in all sorts of situations. Would be the sort of thing most 21s would like. heers Lyn x.0

Those torque bangles would have been great xmas presents for my nephews, particularly since they are buy one get one half price! Typical they aren't in stock anywhere near.
It's a shame this isn't reduced as troll beads would be a good 21st present. £9.99 is a good price though.

Morning all *yawns*
DH got home at 3am and I was lying wide awake in bed when he got back. I finally got to sleep at about 4am and then the :mad::mad: alarm went off at 6.50am.
Add in a headache that I think is down to the changes in air pressure and that I've had for two days and I'm feeling more than a little out of it today.
The sun is starting to shine here, but I'm stuck in the house. I don't even want to go and peg laundry out as the last time we got a delivery from Amazon I found my new laptop shoved behind the bin and in plain sight of people walking past the house. No knock on the door or card put through the door either.
21st birthday present ideas- DVDs of childhood tv programmes/films and lots of retro sweeties.
Scrapbook/photo album
Hamper
Art piece/painting....something grown up to keep.
Film cell from their favourite film. There are tons of them on ebay.
Soap making starter kit
I suggest having a lot on the Special Occasions board. There are tons of ideas on there.
Good luck x0 -
Sorry was away . Girl, my eldest grandie. I like a few of these, will finish the soap and sit down for a look later. tyty.0

Well, I've woken up feeling like I've been kicked around by a horse, just feel rough and have palpitations which I've not had for ages. Lord, I am heartily sick of myself. Another non productive day.
On the plus side DD sounds better on talking to her and she managed to eat a bacon sarnie.0 -
I'm going to ask my sister. But I'm sure something else cheap and perfect for them will turn up before Christmas. I'm very organised about Christmas now and have a list starting in January that I can write down any bargain buys on before I put them in 'a safe place' and lose them. In fact I've already got 14 jars of chutney and caramelised onion relish put away for hampers. Let's hope I don't get the jars out and find they've gone mouldy!unixgirluk wrote: »Possesion is there any of your friends that could check their local Argos for you?0

Back to the topic of the thread here - read this and get some cash to keep in the house for emergencies!!
QUOTE
(Reuters) - European finance officials have discussed limiting the size of withdrawals from ATM machines, imposing border checks and introducing euro zone capital controls as a worst-case scenario should Athens decide to leave the euro.
EU officials have told Reuters the ideas are part of a range of contingency plans. They emphasized that the discussions were merely about being prepared for any eventuality rather than planning for something they expect to happen - no one Reuters has spoken to expects Greece to leave the single currency area.
But with increased political uncertainty in Greece following the inconclusive election on May 6 and ahead of a second election on June 17, there is now an increased need to have contingencies in place, the EU sources said.0
