Slo cookers down to £9 in Mr T at the mo - just wanted everyone to know. Got a HUGE piece of beef topside from there and its in the sc now, enough for many meals and xmas dinner for 2 £9. Searched till I found one that was a neat shape for slicing and it just fits in SC with a centimetre space round it . 4 bunches of pinks - 35p each, 4 big green peppers for 49p and 6 tins of cat food. Good haul for me.

I do use expensive pots (L'Occitane) as I also dry skin. But it is supplemented with two pots from Clinique - Moisture surge and Cold Comfort. They really are very good especially the latter for prevention.

I switched to the Oil Cleansing Method recently and the difference in my skin is staggering. I have always had bad skin, acne, dry patches, redness etc all at the same time... Even had 2 courses of R0accutane (powerful drug that can cause liver problems amongst a whole bunch of other side effects and very, very unpleasant to take, altho worked well temporarily) and now my skin is the best its ever been!!!

I just use mild olive oil on my face, rub in, leave for a while if I have time, then use a hot clean facecloth all over... No toner, no moisturiser and the best skin I have ever had!!! It takes a bit of getting your head around it, but I swear by it now.

Its known as EVOO on here... Extra Virgin Olive Oil... Evoo sounds posher :rotfl:

so you use that to take off make up and cleanse too? No moisturiser???? You mean I would give up my little pots?:eek::eek::D Not sure I am brave enough for that yet.

And yet I am strangely intrigued...

Wouldn't mind if she wasn't RACKING UP A LOT OF DEBT for this degree...but HELLO if you are charging then I think you should expect to provide support and 'customer service'

    Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

It might be worth her trying to speak to her Dean of Students if she has one or one of the welfare officers at the student union.

I had similar problems when I was at uni and really struggled to know where to go. I now work in a student support centre and hate to hear about students struggling to get support from their tutors. Happy to try and provide bit more help if you want to PM me :)

I had the same treatment, and the dermatolagist's advice was not to moisturise for at least 20 minutes after cleansing, as your skin should remoisturise itself, and only if it really needs it should you add anything. So other than when flying or in highly air conditioned environments do I use any moisturiser. Saves me a fortune too...

so let me get this right. You just slap a load of virgin olive oil on your chops and then wipe it off with a flannel(wet?) then leave it?

Well, how daft am I? I've been using EVOO on my hands for yonks and never thought to use it on my face :rotfl:
