Hi Byatt Normally I would have sown them last month butas the weather is so cold I shall sow sometime this week BUT I shalln't plant them out until it's warmer. You can get the seeds from Tuckers or I think Suffolk Herbs. jac xx0

Look! (holds out injured paw for inspection) I have a blister. Been digging for 2.5 hours on the lottie without even a juvenile robin for company. Just me and the dog-walking ladies, lovely peeps who stop to have a chat when passing on the street.
 My allotment is in a terrible state. The grass is as high as an elephant's eye and just about ready for haymaking. I have been attempting to show it who's boss with a garden line, a sharp spade and my grass-cutting shears. I swear I can see it growing. The weather is weird; cloudy with sunny spells and the odd spit of rain and incredibly humid. When that sun does come out it has some real power to it.
I have readied the pea patch and the little darlings are coming on nicely in their t.p. tubes in the cold frame. I've shuffled them around today as the ones bang in the middle were getting the most light and growing best, and the ones around the edges were smaller.
Oooff, need TEA...................Nurrrrssssssssssseeeeeeeeeee!Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Thanks, I'm so behind with everything I thought I might have missed the opportunity.I will give them a go. Trying other types of veg as my runner beans were a disaster last year. Five beans out of 3 plants.
Well, DD is with her dad now and then off on the cruise at the weekend. Seems weird not being on "on call" mode, not sure I will relax enough, but will try!
Have pooch here now, a house is not a home without a pet.
GQ, glad the peas are coming along.
Kittikins, the last time I ironed was September 2010 and that was only because I was going to a wedding... Before that? Maybe 4 years...
I've just eaten a lot of chocolate!0 -
Hi Guys!
OH just on way to hopefully get our cash back from the seller of the broken car. He has a mate with him following him down to get a lift back with.
Please can everyone send positive vibes as OH feels sick with it being such a large amount of money.

Hey, Byatt, just had a Freecycle pickup- 3 seconds and they came exactly when they said they would. A few more centimeters have been liberated.................
Guess what? The day has come good with a flawless blue sky. Shame it had to wait until after 6 pm to do that. Hope there isn't going to be a frost as my tatties are currently uncovered. Ah well, we have to take some chances in this world.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Sorry not been in, struggling with ME and terminal canny-be-assedness. Went garden centre for seed tatties, none left. Whole bloody garden full of good chicken manure and not a plant in it- will have the biggest weeds in Scotland soon. Will just buy baby plants if and when it heats up a bit.0

Mardy, sorry you're struggling. xx
GQ, the only way I'd get someone to stop for just 3 seconds would be to throw the stuff at them as they passed by. :rotfl::rotfl:
PP, positive thoughts being sent...plus the karma bus for the 'orrible person who sold you the car.:D

PP - good luck xx
Mardatha - I used seed potaotoes last year and then found potatoes had sprouted in cupboard and threw them into a bag of compost - the seed potatoes produced a good number of potatoes but the cupboard ones produced way more. I have planted a packet of seed potaoes in the bags this weekend and tomorrow when I buy more compost will throw the packet of king edwards that have sprouted in and have another go.0
