More hugs ginnyknit, not sure what else to say, keep your chin up and remember to have some time to yourself, not housework or other work.

Wow shellycrow you did well! I hope your car doesn't need much .

Arrgh! It's failed spectacularly. It needs £600 worth of work just for it to pass the MOT , plus another £400 within the next few months. Looks like it will be going to the scrapyard in the sky

Ginny, I'm so sorry about your DH. It must be such a worrying time for you both. Positive thoughts that he will be well enough for treatment.

    ((((Ginny))))

SDG, hope Black Dog has lifted somewhat.

Mrs C, we managed to get a doggiechief thank you for offering though. Funny to think you will be walking the streets of Pads£ow soon. We got more meringue!

Ty pet - I do eat fried cabbage, and I like fried onions :) (healthy wee slug me). I will need to start healthier eating again, be stricter as the ME is starting to overwhelm me again. I do honestly eat veg - as long as I canny see it. I hide it in soup and stews. Is just when you're exhausted you can't always be bothered to eat - and that's a vicious circle is it not.
I have tons of seeds here - rocket, chard, kkkk- em green stuff, turnip greens, runner beans and sorrel. Mostly for the chickens but some for us. I might even get them planted some day. :D
Hi mardy wotsit, I have just seen something for you. Unfortunately I thought it was paid work. Rowett Institute in Aberdeen are looking for volunteers to----eat different species of kale and cabbage for a day to see if it has any marked positive benefits to health. Wonder if they pay expenses ?

Ginnyknit-so sorry to hear your news.

The seller has agreed to give us a full refund:j:j:j:j:j:j:j

His partner text OH last night and said that he felt guilty and although he's not a trader:cool: he appreciates that Im ill and now have no money. He's able to get the money for next Tuesday and has asked OH to take the car back as long as we've not taken any further action which we haven't as we legally have to give 7 days on the letter sent.

OH is taking 2 mates with him and both will step up if needed too.

Alls not too well here, OH is too ill for his cancer treatment but they are popping him back in to try and sort his bladder out again. They are being very careful though and testing him regularly so if anything develpos they will act. I have been really wound up this week and am very tired but keeping busy.
:( oh ginny! Can't think of anything to say except big hugs and I'll be thinking of you and your OH.
On the plus side I found a Kenwood Chef in a charity shop for £15! Included a bowl, Kbeater and whisk. I've couldn't believe my eyes, snapped it up quick in case the decided it was a pricing error.
:T Awesome! You must be made-up.:T

I've been living a quiet life apart from going to the salt-mine as have had a mini-relapse thingy with the ole ME. Bor-ring. Hit the wall on Thurs eve and went to bed and slept for 12 hours and am planning to crawl off again in a couple of hours.

We've had a few windows and doors put thru lately and the Towers is looking a bit tattier than usual at the mo. SuperGran has had birdy-fisticuffs (her term) as a pair of great tits tried to get into her Perspex bird feeder whilst there was a wee bluetit in there feeding its face on the peanuts. Blue-boy wasn't having any and in the kerfuffle he stayed put and the other two were driven off. I was around there this afternoon and was throwing coasters at the window to scare the collared doves away.

Heads up; my 99p store has big jars of Patak's Jalfrezi, Tikka Masala and Rogan Josh, if anyone is after any- I guess they'll have them in other branches, too. They're in date until next year so no rush. I've stashed some under the bed, as is my tradition.

I've had a warning from my Dad that a bad frost is incoming on Saturday night-Sunday morning so I shall be on the lottie and hiding the tater tops which have just emerged under some weeds or something. Going to be a later harvest this year as my spuds are normally about a foot tall at this time of the year. I deliberately held them back to try and avoid frostburn.

Well, gonna put the kettle on and see what else is happening on t'interweb.

((((((((((hugs to all))))))))))))))) and have a nice evening. GQ x

Its taken me ages to catch up,

PP that is such good news, just a word of caution though when is the seven days up? If its close to Tuesday make sure you have everything ready to go if he reneges on his offer. :)

Ginny - words seem so useless in situations like this, so am sending hugs and will keep you in my prayers. I am not far from Manchester and if you ever just want to talk I am happy to come to you for a chat, or if you need something more practical like a casserole parcel I can arrange that too. Do take care of yourself please x

Shelley - have you got a list of repairs needed? If so contact a few local garages and get alternate quotes. As a rough guide you could contact a local car parts place (not Halfords) and get prices for the actual bits, then you will have an idea of what sort of costs are reasonable. Alternatively, ask at local scrap yards about parts - that can cut costs hugely. Hope you get it sorted.

Been racing here and there all week it seems, after two full days training, today it was time to visit vet yet again, after cat decided to tear off half her face removing her own absess and tumor! She was so vocal in vets office that the whole waiting room were expecting a lion to walk out, and were all shocked to see a petite cat in a cage! She now has another two weeks of tablets and will then likely have to be sedated while they work on her but they want the infection gone first. They did however give me a cone of shame for her to wear, which has caused no end of trouble,

She keeps walking into doors and tables, cannot get into her litter without help and objects to anyone laughing at her!

Spent my usual Friday with DS8 class and he had a very stressed afternoon, followed by his gym group and had full meltdown when we arrived home. Am so grateful they have the extra day off this weekend as it gives me chance to get him back on track again. Have promised to take both DD6 and DS8 out for the day on Monday solo, so need him more handleable as it were.

My friend has taken on dog walking duties, as my back is simply not up to it at the moment and so I am cooking dinner every night for one more.
OH was called into work for disciplinary meeting today due to his being off, thankfully as he had a doctors note they didnt fire him but were very clear that once his two week note expires they expect him in or else.

Have to shop tomorrow as was too busy this week, so will end up spending most of the day as its always so busy on Saturdays.
Any really good offers about I should be looking for ??

Thank you all for your support, it means a great deal to me and helps that you know Im not just a whining sort of woman as a lot of you have heavy loads to carry too.

Shegar , we had to choose a car that was high too, its so much easier to get into isnt it. We have a quilt that flips over the bumper and is taped to the inside of the boot because I tend to chuck the wheelchair in and scratched the last car - whoops.

Kidact, you have so much on your plate lately hunny yet you offered to come and see me - how kind is that :D

I have had a few hours today to get ahead, the hairy bikers bread left overnight before baking, worked really well so we have lots of little crusty rolls which may last the weekend - I can resist :rotfl: ooh but I have real butter too...

So shopping done, meals planned, and I intend to do as little as possible till Monday - crossing fingers.

GQ hope the rest pushes your ME back into the box it hides in - look after yourself.

    Hugs to all x

Penny-Pincher:How great is that! I am so chuffed for you! :j

Ginnyknit:- :grouphug: I am sending you and your OH my healing thoughts.

GQ:- Rest! you know how it works. You will be kn*ckered if you don't! Resistance is futile!;)

Katieowl:- It's great DD is back in Uni, just a few more weeks to get her through, and yes, I know there is always another crisis around the corner with all our offspring, but you can only cope with one hurdle at a time.

Good luck to all you others who are having car problem. They are so essential for so many reasons, not least for getting the sprogs to the umpteen places they need to go to.

Doctor has given me more painkillers to take at the same time as the other two. Feels like a lot of stuff at once! The number of tablets to take first thing this morning was 11! On the other hand if the painkillers work I will not have to resort to the chemical 'cosh' to make me sleep better. I hate using it because I feel so strange/odd/spaced out, when I wake up.Oh the joys of just getting through the day! :p

On the good side, I have the sun!:j:T
The rest of you can bu88er off, you're not getting it back till I have the towels and the bedding washed and dried! :D I detest putting towels on the radiators! I'm going to be the daft one dancing round the garden waving my wet washing at the sun today!:dance::dance:

    Hugs to Ginnyknit & hubby.
GQ, I can sleep 12 hours a night I don't have the excuse of ME, just old age, lol.
Grey & overcast here, thank heavens for my washing line cover.
DD's washing machine packed in yesterday so she came to mine to use mine while I was at work. I had to smile when I got home, she'd had all 3 kids with her, oldest had an inset day, middle one was running a temperature & the baby, I found an elastic band on every step of the staircase, 2 small cardboard boxes hidden under the sofa & all my china houses in a different order, all visible signs of mischief, lol.
I got a 3.5 kl boned ham hock reduced to £9.99 from £15 & it's in the oven. I'm defrosting one of my freezers & doing a freezer audit at the same time, errm, I don't think I need go shopping any time soon!
    Hugs Hester

    Hello all:)
(((hugs))) to those going through such a hard time. Thinking of you and your DH Ginny. Be kind and gentle with yourself.
Sun is in the sky here - been out for one dog walk with both and now going out again with younger dog as she's getting less exercise these days as oldie goes slowly and not far.
Plans for today include some cleaning and some reading.
Tea tonight is left over curry from last night so that's easy;).
Hope the weekend goes as well as it possibly can for you all:).
