Just popped into say 'Hi' as I've been up to my ears with work (in York, Leeds and Glasgow respectively over the past three days) and just back home. It's been a lovely sunny evening here, which makes everything seem much better. Voted on the way home from the railway station so done my civic duty, so to speak. Got to go now to get the littlun to bed. Hope to get a chance to catch up with the rest of this thread soon though.
  • Hi Minihauk ds also has Psoriatic arthritis, I know how difficult it can be to do manual jobs from watching him, he's a plumber! He is on some very strong medication and it seems to be helping him alot.

Mardatha I know from reading your posts you are not a greater lover of veggies, but you might like this: shred cabbage very finely, add a little butter or oil to pan add a small amount of finely sliced onion gently fry until soft then add cabbage turning constantly until slightly softened but still has a bite. Chopped bacon bits or lardons can also be cooked at the same time as the onion.

Hope everyone has a good evening.

Ty pet - I do eat fried cabbage, and I like fried onions :) (healthy wee slug me). I will need to start healthier eating again, be stricter as the ME is starting to overwhelm me again. I do honestly eat veg - as long as I canny see it. I hide it in soup and stews. Is just when you're exhausted you can't always be bothered to eat - and that's a vicious circle is it not.
I have tons of seeds here - rocket, chard, kkkk- em green stuff, turnip greens, runner beans and sorrel. Mostly for the chickens but some for us. I might even get them planted some day. :D

The seller has agreed to give us a full refund:j:j:j:j:j:j:j

His partner text OH last night and said that he felt guilty and although he's not a trader:cool: he appreciates that Im ill and now have no money. He's able to get the money for next Tuesday and has asked OH to take the car back as long as we've not taken any further action which we haven't as we legally have to give 7 days on the letter sent.

OH is taking 2 mates with him and both will step up if needed too.

We're going to spend about half the money and get a slightly older car from a reputable seller/garage and hold the rest back into our savings, which I think will be most practical. Just have to find a car that will fit the wheelchair in it. Have seen a couple of A Class's, but need to check on boot space.

I feel a lot more relieved, but won't hold my breath until we get the money back in our hand.

Penny Pincher I'm so pleased for you and am keeping everything crossed that it all goes according to plan.

Third batch of GF&Vegan carrot cakes in the oven this morning, and just done a batch of sushi rice for more experiments... I have to go in to town later and sort out my car tax :( and a couple of other things. Done three loads of washing so far this morning too.

I've just come online to look up a recipe for wild garlic pesto as I've discovered TONS of it quite locally :j I'm going to pop some in my sushi later!
