I was given some frozen red snappers and I defrosted them last night. On looking at them I realised they had not been gutted. I have slit one open but I am not sure that they are safe to eat as the guts are definately in there, they do not smell bad. Should I chuck them and get something else for tea?
EDIT It doesn't matter now. I rang dh and he said chuck it.0 -
We were going to be losing our tax credits but as Dh income for the coming year is going to be less than the threshholds (all overtime been stopped) we should still get a little bit; I have to ring them tomorrow to give the new estimated figures as until the tax year changed apparently the computers couldn't accept new figures.
Otherwise it is just buckling down wherever and trying not to spend more than necessary on anything. My self & hubby; 2 sons (30 & 26). Hubby also a found daughter (37).
Eldest son has his own house with partner & her 2 children (11 & 10)
Youngest son & fiancé now have own house.
So we’re empty nesters.
Daughter married with 3 boys (12, 9 & 5).
My mother always served up leftovers we never knew what the original meal was. - Tracey Ulman0 -

Probably too late, but it's always best to gut them before freezing. However, I have gutted previously frozen fish after defrosting them and lived to tell the tale :rotfl:0 -
Please can I just pop in to say how nice it is on this thread - have been on a few around mse and run away from a few in terror but this thread (I have read quite a few pages now) seems lovely and what I came onto mse for.
