  • Morning peeps

    What a beautiful day :j

Mr PIC fetched our chickens yesterday :j we now have three beautiful brown ladies residing in our garden.

This has kept all the cats quiet as they have all just sat and stared at them with a confused look on their faces. On the plus side it is keeping the foster cats amused as they have something to watch all day :D

We had our first egg this morning and was told it would take a couple of weeks for them to start laying so it was a little surprising.

Can't wait for them to be able to roam around the garden but the farm said they need to be in their cage for three days first so they know where they live. They are used to cats already so that is a bonus :D

Only problem with getting them from a farm is they tried to get us to have a goat as well, I love goats but stood firm :rotfl:

Had a few reactions to the meds I have been taking. Friday I was terrible so I am off the lot and today I am in a bit of pain and frustrated as I want to go on our lotty as it has not been touched since before crimbo :(

My preggy craving was the SMELL of cat food  one more day and I swear I would have eaten it :rotfl:

Sun is shining so may have to find a comfy seat and put my feet up and read a book :D

Hope your all enjoying the sunshine

    PIC x

My pregnancy things were all sweeties (surprise lol) with one baby it was Pandrops and I'm lucky I still got teeth left. With another one it was coloured sherbet, you used to get big jars and could buy a quarter of it. Then dip your finger in and sook lol. One day I'd have a red stained forefinger and the next day it would be green then yellow ..

    What a beautiful day! :j

I just picked up a small chest freezer courtesy of Freecyc£e. I've been looking for months but always missed out. Then one was offered yesterday and I was the first to ask. Had to ask a neighbour to help me lift out the car; she very kindly did and lifted it herself! Just 2 years ago I could have done it myself, but now...:o

Anyway, it's in the house and I only need to climb over it to get to the bathroom door but hey ho, just a small obstacle. :rotfl:

Congrats on the new additions PIC. :)

PIC - have serious chicken jealousy. They sound lovely, not sure what our cats would do, probably hide!!! :D
Was woken to screams this morning when ds 7 jumped from top of his bed (8 foot high) and cut leg open. Cue a race to have leg stitched, ended up compromising and they used butterfly stitches as he wouldn't sit for proper ones. If he leaves them alone they should be fine but if he messes with them its sedation and proper ones!
OH at work so was solo, extraordinarily relieved not to have to cope with needles today, am so phobic i usually throw up and pass out. OH or my dad usually have to do needles but with both working was only me.
Apparently I have laryngitus so have to see my gp tomorrow - they kindly told me today - would have made more sense to just deal with me there but not how it works.

Got washing all done and dried thankfully so only ironing to get through.
Off for quiet afternoon watching movie on sofa with kids.

PIC- Have to say I was really calm about it all, but that may be because I feel so ill.
Waiting on my parents to arrive to sit with others as the butterflies have failed so off to hospital for proper ones!!

Kidkat I hope he is quiet for you for the rest of the day, ooh was that a flying pig?
I hope you are able to get a little bit of rest anyway.

I am ok when the kids do some thing horrible and if the grandchildren damage themselves the dads usually dash over here for me to deal with it as dd's can't. The only time I felt sick and faint was when my youngest was born and they had to do a battery of tests because he was ill. One doctor stuck a needle in him so many times to get a drop of blood I had to leave the room. I wanted to hit for hurting my baby.

Kidcat look the other way. Don't they recommend gargling soluble aspirin for laryngitus?? ask them up the hospital.

    Good luck

Grandma- I had to sit while they pinned DS13 down at 18months old for a lumbar puncture, then endure while they prodded with needles and machines for hours until he was so trussed up. DD6 spent a few weeks in at six months and the number of drips, needles etc was enough to make me weep. One of the doctors advised me not to be in room while they did needles, he said firstly I would increase the anxiety of the kids seeing me upset, but also I was able to swoop in afterwards and be the nice mummy who sympathised!!

Have packed small bag for hospital with his drink and snacks - just hope they arent too long he will be climbing the walls :)
