It's great that you're thinking of it as a creative challenge Softstuff
That's a very positive approach.

She wouldn't like the pasta dish I did the other night.... it involved the dreaded k*** I seem to recall that Mardatha isn't much for fancy food, whereas I'm far more amenable to adventure that way.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -

You lot are bad. All this talk of the green stuff _pale_ at this time of the day!
I have to admit I'm struggling - but I see the doc tomorrow and might know better then what I can eat. With me tests always seem to show what I haven't got but never find what I have got and it's getting to me! They send you for a scan and it comes back clear and they seem to think that's it hen - away you go home and stop pestering us. But meanwhile the symptoms that sent you to the doc in the first place are still there
I have got Greek style fat free yoghurt in the fridge but I dono what to do with it.Can I bung into frozen fruit and nuke it? Will it not be really sour?Oh life is hard!!

Mar - if you're allowed sugar, then sweeten the fruit to taste, and mix it with the yogurt. You can either have it as it is, or freeze it if you want it cold (I'd do this in an ice-cream maker as I have a small one, softstuff may be able to advise as to how much stirring it needs if you want to freeze it). If you're not allowed sugar, can you have honey? Greek yogurt with honey is delicious
And on that note I'm off to have stewed apricots (no sugar) and yogurt for my breakfast...0 -
Good to see you back softstuff !
Mar - don't forget your body needs some fat, so don't exclude it completely. Try using olive oil if you don't already, for dressing veg and giving a bit of colour and flavour to meat.
And if changing your diet hasn't made any difference to how you feel, it is better you eat well and keep strong than making yourself worse by not eating enough. /I know it is really hard when you feel bleurgh! but important you don't waste away to a shadow of your former self.
Think big thoughts but relish small pleasures0 -
Mardatha, I can't abide non-fat greek yoghurt just as is, I have a sweet tooth. I add a very tiny sprinkling of splenda. It's nice if you nuke the fruit, but put the yoghurt on (kind of like it's double cream). I like it with stewed apple as a dessert, but I tend to have a spoonful of it mixed with half a banana and some oats for brekkie.
Mrs Chip, you're spot on about needing a bit of fat, but in rare cases it is to be avoided as much as humanly possible! I'll likely get enough from lean meats and fish (but am having vitamin levels checked very regularly anyway). I am likely to waste away somewhat, but I will share any earnings from a new supermodel career with all of you lot...Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Hahaha Mrs Chip - I'm one of those folk who look the picture of rosy health even when two steps from death's door LOL! I am using olive oil ta pet x.
