  • guess what the weather is doing on the west coast of Scotland????:rotfl:

Not actually sure the rain really stops here - just slows to a light drizzle before it starts up again :)

Tell me about it. :rotfl:I had to drive 100 miles North in it today. On the plus side though, the weather does keep the population down up here. ;):D

Home now, stove lit, spuds on for dinner and settling in for a night with OH and a DVD box set.

VJsmum I can see you are an intrepid person too and I dont believe it ever really leaves you. I hope you will be able to do the stuff you want to do with your OH as I would have preferred to have done all this with mine but it wasn't to be (divorce). So... I'm doing it on my own. Keep telling myself it will be fine.

Will you be able to blog or write posts so we know how you are getting on? I for one would love to hear your exploits.

I really admire you; I have become such a slug and lost my ooomph, but you are an inspiration.

I will try to get on a computer when I am in Japan to tell you whats going on.

I wish people would stop saying how brave I am being - makes me feel I'm going to a war zone. But you guys don't say that maybe because we are all a bit similar and off the same old block. Thanks for that.

Byatt you will get your ooomph back. I sometimes think you just have to make plans and do them before you have to time to have doubts. Like jumping in the deep end with your nose pinched. If I can help to find your oomph and see off the black dog I will be glad.

I wanted to be a shop assistant, a barmaid or a teacher. I have been all three

Now I would love to write.

Exactly my story. Went on a writing workshop recently and am trying to write 20 mins a day - not always successfully mind you.

Just caught up after a busy weekend. If anyone decides to get an excalibur dehydrator it is a good idea to get one with a door. I was discussing it with some Americans and they said it is more versatile if it has a door. Some use it to make yoghurt by taking out the trays and putting a jug of it in there. One even said he used his to dry his trainers:eek:
It has been a sad day today. There was a terrible tragedy yesterday but I only found out this morning involving my daughters best friend. I keep going from feeling so sad to really angry. I can't openly talk about it for legal reasons but I wish when these things happen there was a bit more sensitivity from the powers who are called in to deal with it.

Wishing you, your daughter, and her friend all the best even if you can't talk about it and I hope you sort things out.

Thank you. Unfortunately it will not be me sorting anything out but I hope I will be able to be a support to my daughter and through her her friend too.
