:rotfl:Gailey - perhaps it might have taught him a lesson in to not raid the fridge!!!!

I would expect the chicken was cooked, and guess pastry was too if he has eaten it (or has he been REALLY stupid???!!!). So cooking should just have been a reaheat to kill any lurking bugs. He should be ok, it certains should not kill him, although you might :rotfl:. If he is very unlucky he might get upset tummy, queue manflu performance.

GQ - glad your mum is ok!

Hubby exdited about pie to 3/4 of it in his lunchbox.
But its uncooked can only be cooked in oven he just has microwave at work. Just rang him when discovered and hes ate a 1/4 of it already!
Will be be ok?hoping he brings rest back and cook it later.

    So hoping hes not sick!

    Oh dear. _pale_

If I was you, I'd sit down to tea tonight with your lovely *cooked* quarter of pie and tasty veg and say, well you had yours earlier here's a sandwich...:D

But that's my inner b!tch talking. :rotfl: I used to hate it when things disappeared from the fridge/cupboards when I had earmarked them for a meal.

  • Feeling so OS I have just been to local Co-Op and every single thing I wanted (Plus a few other bargains) was reduced - never had that happen before. I'm known there as Mrs Cheapskate - but with affection!

Gailey - its probably all been precooked before packaging so its not raw at least, if he gets ill its his own fault for not reading the packet and checking with you first! :)

Am on mission today, have both boys off school, and OH is at work (my dad had to take him so he really not happy to go - but any more time off and will get disciplined), little car is in with mechanic and parts needed, so I have had to locate and deliver those, had to pay for party deposits for two youngest birthdays in March. And am now on hunt for new big car - officially ours is declared not worth repairing, cost to fix £1000, value of car £500. So now I need to find a new one.

Easier said than done due to our requirements, out of hundreds of cars for sale locally I have found only two to view! Mechanic warned me this morning that I am on borrowed time though so have to be quick(no pressure there then!!). Thankfully I have just taken a CC out for OH which is 0% for 18months so plan on paying for car on that and paying off (had originally got it to pay for a holiday on later in year and have the extra protection of paying by CC).

Am relieved I have managed to book both parties at least as it means I can relax and not be frantically searching for ideas nearer the time. Dad has also reminded me that he bought 500 party food boxes last year(was apparently cheaper from wholesalers for 500 then to buy 50 in shops) so I have plenty left for both parties this year.:)

GQ - before signing up to Quidco have a look at topcashback too, they are both similar types of sites, but TCB doesnt charge the £5 per year Quidco does.

Gailey I do hope your husband is OK but that did make me laugh! However you might be doing too much for him as he seemingly expected everything to be ready for him, and just assumed you would have cooked the pie for him! I hope you are feeling better from your lurgy today.

It's raining in Manchester. Again. Sigh. I have two parcels at the post office depot that I need to go and pick up. One of them is mealworms for my wild birds and I just fear that if they are in a warm place, they will change into beetles and I'll open a bag full of beetles when I finally get them home! However as it's raining and I am sick of getting soaked, I might check out the local collect option and see if I can get them sent to the local post office instead. I'll see.

Nothing OS to report, really. Terribly dull.

OH! A blast from the past specially for Mrs Chip - if you remember certain conversations from our previous threads you might be interested in knowing that Grabitnow are selling a Borat Mankini: http://www.grabitnow.com/ :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Hey perhaps you could stock a few of those in your little walkers' shop for those rare days when it is hot and sunny :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
