HELP- MY NUMPTY HUSBAND HAS BEEN STUPID.

Got reduced chicken and white wine pie yesterday in co-op from fresh section. put in fridge planned to do for tea tonight.
Hubby exdited about pie to 3/4 of it in his lunchbox.
But its uncooked can only be cooked in oven he just has microwave at work.

    So hoping hes not sick!

:rotfl: Gailey that made me smile. I so admire how you juggle everything. Makes me appreciate my OH. MIL trained him well - he always asks permission before taking anything from the fridge:)

Hello to everyone, and hugs to those who need. For those job hunting check out the website for What Colour is Your Parachute:

Bit American but lots of good ideas and very inspiring. The book is good too - new one most years but doesn't change too much so getting an older version from library or CS would be worth while.

I also want the yellow ball back please. Very grey here and yesterday we had snow even though it wasn't forecast:(

Thanks Smiley, I'm not sure West Wales is ready for the Mankini :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

Re your mealworms - if they do turn into beetles you could start your own mealworm production line - easy enough, little outlay, and a continuous supply of mealworms! Just imagine being able to tell aquaintances (perhaps those you meet in the park? :D) that you keep mealworms as pets!:rotfl:.

Here's a linky all about it! And another one with a bit more info

Thank you, perhaps I will start up my own mealworm farm lol!

Scrapping the idea of collecting parcels from a local post office - cost is #1.50 per item - outrageous!

Good grief! Thanks smileyt, I was going to get a recorded delivery delivered to the PO but it can wait until I'm in the right area to collect it (I know what it is and it will keep).

  • Mrs Chips ( I typed Mrs Chops first :)) how about some babies dummies, hair elastic, can openers, disposable cameras, nappy sacks/ doggy poo bags, cheapo straw hats - for summer kids with might talk parents into buying one as so many parents these days don't put a hat on a child when its really hot and sunny, babies yes but not toddler or older). Other things can be forgotten or baby throws dummy away - our local newsagent has cards hanging up of all these sorts of things so might not be to big an outlay for a card of them. We were out somewhere a few years ago and a couple were asking ice cream van if they had any babies bottles as baby threw it in the sea.

Right better go and get ready hairdresser in half an hour first time I have gone in many years

    Hugs to all

:wave:Hiya Smileyt this weather is miserable isnt it. Just been to Mr A for bl**dy cat food again, thinking of building a double cart with harness's for the 2 cats and they can go for their own :D Cash machine was out of order - totally bedfuddled me - OH reckons the security men have a coffee machine in there and sit an have a brew while we wait for them to put the cash in. He did work for security on the banks so he may well be right

Whoopsies are poor in there but managed to get a few bits.

Need to sort the house PDQ as DS moves back in a week. Bang goes craft room ..again.. but will be nice to have him around. think he is in for a shock when he sees how his dad has deteriorated. But we are doing ok, keeping busy and he is trying his best.

Gailey keep up the good work hunny but remember you need some time to sit down and breathe.

OMG - am so stunned, dad has just taken me so see a car I had shortlisted and its absolutely perfect!!!:j:j:j:j:j

He is collectiong OH from work later and will take him past it to see what he thinks (not that I really care!). Have texted OH to say am happy to buy it (assuming he understands that is code to say am going to buy it!!) and suggests he gets a price for buying car straight and I will sell ours to a car buying firm to save hassle. It will be so much easier to handle than the current one (and look significantly better outside the house too!!):rotfl:

Its such a relief as it took me six months of hard searching last time to find this one and I had begun to think it would be the same this time too.

Have discussed with both boys, as being ASD its hardest for them, and DS13 is really enthusiastic, DS7 doesnt seem to get it - he said, well it will do while you fix our one I suppose!! My heart glowed at his confidence I was able to fix the old one and I struggled with the ieda I was going to have to tell him at some point I wasnt so wonderful after all. Have settled on the idea of getting new one, and praying he settles to it once we have it.

Looking at cars the guy kept talking to my dad, then nearly died when I opened the bonnet and had a play:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:, dad explained she likes to see how it all works, does some of her own repairs too. The guys face was a picture, he spluttered about OH, dad shook his head and said no, she drives it, she needs to be able to do the basics too. Had discussion on engine stuff, timing belts etc, service stuff, poor man looked very upset when we left:D:D

Have also received first carers allowance payment this week, so that will pay a chunk of car - so all in things could be worse, if car had broken this time last year I would have been really stuck - at least now, we are financially stable enough to be able to use 0% credit and pay off without having to panic how we will manage. Its made me appreciate just how lucky we are.

Gailey - my OH would do something like that, he even now asks how to cook something - when he has packet in his hand!! My consistent advice is "read the instructions" :D I figure one day it may sink in.

Well that is the Drs thinking he has said if it gets any worse or I cannot shut my eye on that side to go to the emergency Drs (as it could be the weekend) as I would have to start on steroids. But as yet he cannot make that diagnosis. I was worried it may have been shingles as I work in the Gynae clinic alongside ultrasound and was worried about going back to work and being in contact with all the pregnant ladies. Will wait and see.
