GQ, I used to live in a Towers something like that, but higher up. One of my neighbours "accidentally" hacksawed through her gas pipe.. She came round to me to use the phone to get the Gas people out. Two hours later she was at the door to borrow a pint of milk. Said the Gas people hadn't come and she was fedup waiting, and had sellotaped the pipe back together so the kids could have their tea... this was up top of a tower block!:eek::eek:
Soon as she was off my doormat I was on the phone :D

OH GOD why did you have to mention pizza? Here's me struggling to give up eating bread, and you say pizza and instantly I am sitting in a puddle of cheesy doughy wistfulness...nom nom argh....

    I. Could. Officially. Murder. A. Slice. Of. Pizza.

Me too... I wonder whether I can renegotiate my meal plan...

witchywoo - always knocks me for six when someone damages the car, weeks ago someone smashed our back headlight while I was parked just for the fun of it!!
If you have fully comp insurance autoglass will come out to you and are supposed to clean it up properly too, only costs the excess rather than full window price. Saying that in our old old house we had the side window put in that many times we got the name of a local guy who used to call past scrap yard collect window and fit it all for less than the excess so its worth looking at. The last time dad fitted it for us as we had seen it done so many times!!!

Like that idea mardatha that as the year has started badly it can hardly get worse :):j

I have been grumpy all day - mainly cos we were having my parents and DD boyfriend to dinner today, kitchen was bombed after buffet last night, and I expected OH to deal with kitchen while I got sorted this morning. He didnt which left me cleaning up, cooking, rearranging furniture and dealing with kids too! Not impressed. he has decided its new years day (and he drank too much) therefore he is having a restful day - good job we were having guests or he would have worn dinner!!

Parents have decided to buy a new bigger dining table - theirs is tiny and over 40yrs old! to seat us all when we visit (twice a year then!!) and have chosen (gasps in shock) an Ikea reasonably priced one that extends (my mum never sticks to value or budget - dad took her with £2000 budget for sofa - ended up spending £5000), so will need it collecting tomorrow - dad is also finally building DS his bolt hole under the bed and its got me thinking about his room. So am off to buy some storage units tomorrow to try to help tidy his room up and move toys from living room too!:j:j:j

So at least I feel something has been produced today.

Cooked whole salmon for dinner (was gorgeous -Mr T offer) but loads left over - can I freeze it?

Considering quiches tomorrow, and possibly some salmon pasta bake.
