Very very poor TV. I feel insulted that we've to endure such rot.
I want to plan some sort of family celebration for New Year next year. Maybe some crafts, decorations, buffet style picnic, some sparklers etc. Sitting here in my PJ's harking back to (rubbish!) new years out on the town. I'm not missing nowt but by gosh, could do with a laugh - ar $e cream was good though, the highlight of my night!0 -
I'm really glad I've found this thread as people in RL look at me like I have two heads when I start talking about the things I do to save and stretch the pennys.
I have worked my budget for this year and things are going to be very tight as I will not be returning to work after my maternity leave.
My highlight for this year was giving birth to my third beautiful son and my low point was nearly losing my DH to pneumonia and septicaemia.
January is a busy month for our household with 3 birthdays to sort out, but hopefully not too expensive as I can hopefully find stuff in the sales.
Off to bed now as DH is already snoring away and there is absolutely nothing on the TV.

Littlies are in bed, so we are sitting through Sherlock Holmes dvd. Not to my tastes at all. Tv utter rubbish and am struggling to stay awake. Loads buffet food left that can be rolled into tomorrow's dinner. My parents are coming and I have bought a whole salmon and some salad.
Ds7 favourite joke - how do you know when an elephant has been in the fridge:..............by the footprints in the butter!! It makes him roll on floor laughing.0 -

That sounds nice, and you have a whole year to plan it
Do the TV planners think everyone goes out on NYE?? Even if I had someone to go out with (none of my friends bother these days), it would cost me a fortune in taxis (about £100 for the trip back from Newcastle!!) and frankly a night out in the party capital of Europe (how wonderful is that, eh? Stag parties galore!) just doesn't appeal.
Well, here's another one to keep you going - not at the [STRIKE]very low [/STRIKE]standard of !!!!! cream though :rotfl:This was my dad's favourite cracker joke from this year..he's told us it at least a dozen times this week
What is Good King Wencelas' favourite pizza?
Deep pan, crisp and even
I can't even raise a groan for this one:rotfl:0 -
