Thanks Ches... I'm going to try to be more positive and upbeat about things.

I went for an interview for a new job yesterday. Would mean more money towards my debts if I got it but would also mean that I would have to buy myself out of my existing contract which would cost £2000. I would decide what to do regarding that nearer the time though.

Interview was okay but I got lost on the way there. There was 15mins to go and I was in another town so I decided to jump a taxi as it was all a one way system rd and I was totally lost, despite using my AA routeplanner, with 15mins to go. Got the taxi to my destination and only had a £10 note to pay the guy (taxi only cost £4). The driver said he had no change... 2 mins to go to my interview so I had no choice but to hand over my £10 or not pay at all. What taxi driver doesn't keep change!!!

Should have got the guys number and complained but I guess what goes around comes around although I wouldn't wish anything bad on the guy.

Thats naughty of him and perhaps you should complain to the office where he works from. But put it in writing as they can't fob you off then. Sounds as if he was taking you for a ride in more ways than one. Glad the interview went OK as even if you decide not to take the job if offered its a morale boost to know you did well. Look in the mirror every morning and tell the person you see there that they are strong, independant and beautiful. Soon you will believe it and then you will truly know that you have won through.

The taxi I got to the interview was a black hackney so maybe I could write in about it. I would feel bad writing in to complain though. I now really worry about writing letters of complaint just incase there is such a thing as karma and someone complains about me in work :)

I don't think I've got the job that I went for. I was told the sucessful candidate would get told this week and I've not heard anything. I've been a bit down about it but now I'll have to pick myself up and ask for some feedback when I get my rejection letter. I'm also going to sign up for other recruitment agencies over the weekend.

Had a word with my Mum and Dad about the interview and my Dad said that my problem was that my life was unorganised and thats whats been making me feel down. He said I was 'winging' life rather than being in control and that included my finances up until I had my light bulm moment in January this year. He was prob right and this week I have tried to get myself a bit more organised ie getting up in plenty of time to have breakfast, getting to bed at a reasonable time. Its actually helped me focus a bit more on my money saving which is good.

My Mum gave me £20 this morning cause she won some money on the lottery so I'm going to put it into my carloan. She told me to get something nice to wear but after seeing how much these treats cost on that whatsthecost website when I'm this much in debt I can't bear to look at clothes.

Hopefully not spending much this weekend apart from my car service. Next weekend have T in the park with my boyfriend. He won VIP tickets last year with a local newspaper. Am dreading the cost of food there. May just take a whole load of stuff with me in a bag.

Sorry to post twice in a day. Paid the £20 into my car loan and found out interest has been added making it 1,426.23 I am so bitterly disappointed. I was so determined to get it under the £1400 this month :( I will just have to keep selling on ebay :(

Have had a good weekend money saving wise. I haven't spent a penny :) Stayed in on Friday. Did work to the flat and the gym on Sat, cinema with my pass Sat night and gym and b/friends family meal tonight. Quite proud of myself.

Downside is my ebay things aren't doing too well but the new stuff that doesn't sell I'm going to keep as Xmas pressies.

It'll be more difficult next week cause of T in the Park though. I'm going to try to take fruit with me though from home so I won't be tempted to buy the food and driving so won't be drinking booze. Will try my hardest.

Some of my stuff on ebay has sold. I'll wait until I get paid for everything before transfering it over to pay off a bit more of my car loan. It won't be a lot prob under £10 but I suppose every bit helps.

Like I said going to T in the Park this weekend. My boyfriend is paying for the hotel but have to pay the bus from the hotel and the petrol to get there so that'll be my socialising spending budget this week away. Have also got a 50th birthday party on Friday night (I'm driving though so prob won't spend too much) and paid £3.00 for netball yesterday but it was really good so I didn't mind.

Found out today that I didn't get the higher paid job I went for the interview for last week (an expensive waste of £16.50 taxi money cause I got lost!!). I'm going to keep applying though and trying to be positive.

Was a bit down about debt etc today but my friend just asked me how much I'd paid off and worked out that it was more than 1/4 of it so far which I'm proud off. £794 to go and then its a 1/3 which is 2 months of payments.

Am off to T in the Park this weekend. Am on a diet so am going to take my own food with me as its only burger vans etc there and it'll save me money.

Had a good weekend and didn't spend too much. Just have to be careful for the rest of the month. Also lost 2lbs at WW on Monday and didn't have to pay as was helping out with the class.

Sold £11.50 worth of stuff on ebay. Not great but have put it towards my loan anyway and every little helps I suppose. At least I have it under the £1400 mark again. That makes me feel a wee bit better bout it.

My boss is looking at my wage this month so I'll see what happens with my pay. If it does go up then all the more to chuck at my debts. I would LOVE to get the car loan paid off by Xmas but am running out of stuff to ebay. I'm going to have a good clearout of my room at some point and have a look.

Am also applying for new jobs. Have a couple more possibilities so we'll see what happens.
