Betti, this week's moneysaving email recommends the Barclays Taxbeater ISA at 6.5% - worth investigating whether to trade in your RBS one. Especially if you can transfer the funds from the old one into the new one.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Thanks Tustastic I will def have a look at that. Think I might have to take the money out soon. I am waiting on getting a quote to get my tiles in my bathroom done from someone my uncle knows who did his bathroom. My parents kindly said they would help me out if it costs more.
Have finally managed to get my direct debit set up for my car loan so it comes out just after payday on 27th of each month. Just as well I noticed as the bank didn't! I'm proud of myself as this time last year I wouldn't have.
Just need to keep on top of things now and not let things slip. Its so hard but don't want to make the last 3 months a wasted effort by messing things up now.Jan 1st 07 Car loan £4830.46@12% Personal Loan £11,517@8% variable Overdraft £1500 July 2009Halifax-£0Debt free date 14th July 2009 :j0 -
Paid off £100 to my car loan today. Got a nasty shock when collections from RBS phoned to say I owed them money. It turned out I didn't and it was a system error but still I was really annoyed that they phoned me on a Saturday morning.
I overspent last night by £10 as had to buy a round of drinks for the support staff (all the lawyers has to do it- most are getting paid about 20k more than me tho! I wasn't drinking) My mum gave me the money back when I told her. Don't want to make it a regular thing taking money from my parents. Want to do this by myself.Jan 1st 07 Car loan £4830.46@12% Personal Loan £11,517@8% variable Overdraft £1500 July 2009Halifax-£0Debt free date 14th July 2009 :j0 -

Boyfriend just told me anout it. They said not presents just prescence in their invitation. I wonder if they really think that? If not then we'll have to get them something.Jan 1st 07 Car loan £4830.46@12% Personal Loan £11,517@8% variable Overdraft £1500 July 2009Halifax-£0Debt free date 14th July 2009 :j0

Was given £40 travel expenses which I have paid in towards my car loan. Would really really like to get enough saved to pay the car loan off this year. Don't think it'll happen though but theres always hope. Maybe I'll win the lottery:pJan 1st 07 Car loan £4830.46@12% Personal Loan £11,517@8% variable Overdraft £1500 July 2009Halifax-£0Debt free date 14th July 2009 :j0

Paid travel expenses towards my car loan plus an extra £5 I got back from someones v v expensive leaving do last Friday night. Have now got my personal loan just under 11k which I'm chuffed about :j :j but amn't doing as well as I would have liked with my car loan. Main problem being that the payment which I'd arranged isn't coming off till next month. I had a look at my bank balance and decided to wait till the end of the month to see what my money situation is like before making an extra payment.
Big things this month:eek:  :
Easter- eggs for the family plus my boyfriend will want a BIG egg
My boyfriends b/day- next month but have to think about it now He's a twin so his sister will also need a present... hoping that I will be able to buy that with my pigsback vouchers
Cheap night out with the girls (first one this year and we're going to make it a student cheapy)
Still seem to spend a LOT of money on petrol but can claim some of that back. Applied for another job which I really fancy and sent the application off today. It would be better pay and a lot nearer.
Fingers crossed.....Jan 1st 07 Car loan £4830.46@12% Personal Loan £11,517@8% variable Overdraft £1500 July 2009Halifax-£0Debt free date 14th July 2009 :j0 -

I have got a fiesta zetec. Its 1 and a bit years old. Have only got 1 years no claims bonus and 3 points (failing to stop at traffic lights). Hopefully when I come to renew this I'll have two and it will go down a wee bit. Also I have to pay for fully comp and commercial use as part of my job and I do about 20,000 miles per year.
Any suggestions about how to reduce it please tell me. Have ony got another 2 payments to make on my current insurance. I'll also be using Martin's helpful hints on car insurance when I renegotiate.Jan 1st 07 Car loan £4830.46@12% Personal Loan £11,517@8% variable Overdraft £1500 July 2009Halifax-£0Debt free date 14th July 2009 :j0
