I phoned up Credit expert who are doing my credit report and they said that they need my origional utility bills to verify my address and after that it would take a further 2 weeks to order my credit report!

Really not having the best of days today. Maybe have managed to talk my boyfriend round about the holiday idea. I suggested that we visit my sister for a couple of days in England soon as she would be able to put us up and he said that would be okay and we could think about a holiday in the second 6 months of this year.

Good news on the holiday - keep a look out for vouchers for days out on the other boards so that you can plan things to do and look forward to it! :)

Thanks everyone. Its made me feel so much better being able to come on here and talk about it. I'm really embarrassed talking to my friends and family about it. I know I have let myself and my parents down by getting into so much debt and burying my head in the sand for so long. Hope I'll be able to help others too when I'm one day debt free.

Haven't spent any money today so far which is positive. Have been taking my lunch in with me every day this week and not buying any extras.

I start my new phone contract tomorrow (have run out of free minutes this month so only texting has been allowed over the past few weeks!) so I'll be able to get in touch with the recruitment firm to look for a new job with hopefully better pay.

Am getting my hair cut and coloured tomorrow which costs £33 for highlights. I want to get that done before I go to any interviews and my mum has given me £20 towards it. Feel so stupid being 26, a professional and still getting money off my parents but I suppose I shouldn't be too proud to take any help offered. I don't want to take advantage of their generosity and get back into debt again!

That means that I've £16 to spend for the rest of the week on socialising which I shouldn't really need. Am going on a (prepaid) trip to Paris at the weekend and my boyfriend has given me my spending money for Valentines day. Think he's a wee bit annoyed that I'm not going with him but it was all booked last yr when I was spending stupidly and I wouldn't have got any money back if I didn't go. Its only for the night anyway (leave on Sat and come back Sunday- only one meal not included). Still feel guilty about it!!! Note to self will NOT be buying any clothes this time! Last time I came back with a suitcase of stripy tops. They look so much better when you wear them in Paris!

    Haven't done very well today.

Was in court all day so didn't send off for my credit report (slap slap) Also got my hair cut and coloured and it cost £40 so I'm £5 over budget for this week.

Oh well I won't be spending anything tomorrow and my boyfriend has given me money for the weekend in Paris. Really wanted to keep to budget

Didn't spend anything else today apart from petrol. One good thing.

Hope everyone else is getting on okay.

Hopefully going to have a no spend day today. Got £5 back from my trip to Paris which I have put in my little fund for my car tax disk and passport. Both of which need renewed soon.

Am also picking up £25 from my post office account which I'm hopefully once I get the ebay fees going to put towards my car loan.

Oh well. At least I've going away for the weekend. I'm not going to take my visa card with me. I'll stick with switch for emergencies which hopefully I won't need and the money I've got in my purse.

Whats going on with your flat hun? Are you renting it out?

Well done, you're doing good! Hope you have a lovely trip to Paris! :)

When I get an unexpected/spare £5, I go to the post office (which is just around the corner from work) and get a £5 savings stamp. Then that's my budgeting for my yearly car tax!

No noone is living in it just now. Its just empty and I'm going round to visit it now and then to check everything is okay. I would have to change to a buy to let mortgage if I let it out but it makes me really unhappy thinking of my wee flat empty. My parents wanted me to buy a flat in a nice area and I can afford the mortgage but only just cause of my debts (they know the extent of my debts). My parents said though that the way house prices were going up on the area that it would be a good investment even if I wasn't living in it.

Am thinking of renting out a room in it after June when my council tax emeption runs out to a French Assistant from my dad's school for a few months. Guess that would help with the mortgage a bit. Any other suggestions would be welcome though!
