    Snap; they've changed the order so that the code of the original laptop now refers just to the software.

    I rang up and the woman was most unhelpful, so its being returned as not what I ordered.

    Cheeky monkeys... sounds about right for Littlewoods.

    just had my bank balance they took 249. out 31st jan returned 2nd feb

    I received the software this morning as well... will wait for a few weeks then get onto them about my laptop as well... :) its on the interest free thing, so nothing will get paid until they sort out what they put in the origional site... cheeky gits
  • right, what to do.....

    ordered one on the 30th had my money refunded on the 6th Feb and left it at that.

    Went away on holiday last sunday and have not long been back. To my suprise I have had the software delivered!

    Check my bank etc and nothing has been taken.

    Do I ring them and say or leave it?

    To add more to this, my online transaction history shows me being refunded and the order tracking shows 'Delivered'.

    Don't see the point in waiting a few weeks as you won't receive your laptop as no-one will be getting it from Littlewoods. It would be easier just to return the software and stop the transaction from being completed
  • TS tell me that as I have order confirmation from them 7 days after the order stating laptop and software that i have a strong case as they have now delivered the software. They have accepted the order as they have already delivered part of the order. I suggest you speak to your local office. If they dont deliver the laptop TS say i have a case to claim the money that it will cost me to buy the laptop elsewhere. advice is to speak to your local trading standards office
    sorry - thats pretty badly written - but the jist of it is as the item was listed on my order confirmation as laptop AND software and they have now delivered the software therefore as per their terms and conditions - order is accepted on delivery of items - part of order counts! I have had no notification of any change or item description or offer to buy anything else discounted or any cancellation notice. TS say that if they dont deliver the laptop i can claim for the amount it will cost me to buy the laptop elsewhere

  • dont know - but he said it was good that they had sent part of the order. I shall wait and see what happens after the delivery by date has expired and then i will write to them. if i dont get anywhere with them the TS bloke said to go back to them and he will take it further!
    i never did hold my breath on this one but i have to say i dont think ive got anything to lose - they havent taken any money - it was on interest free and if all else fails they can have the software back in the condition i received it and i will owe them nothing

    I got letter today trying to get me to sign some kind of account agreement as i shop with them i've never received anything from them.
  • dont think so - but to argue your arguement - i didnt get a cancellation so point 6 doesnt apply. and im not stressing anything so life is ok. im not losing sleep over it - im just sitting tight and seeing what the outcome is. i dont have anything to lose as i said before. if it all fails they can have it back, ive not paid anything as it was on interest free and my philosophy is - if you dont ask then you dont get! and guess what - if i succeed - some of you will be pig sick! and if i fail - well you can all tell me 'i told you so' and i'll agree!!
