:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: who was worse? your nephew or dh? :rotfl:

just caught him "feeding" the fish

Actually MIL was the worst, she did a reaaally loud squeak on the recorder afterwards. I thought it was hilarious as our BIL was really moody by then and that finished him off :D:rotfl: Serves him right, sitting there reading the paper ignoring everyone...

 What did he feed them with? :rotfl:

Thinking of you JG. As we all know time is precious and I hope you have more time than you initially thought.

Moorhen, I am the same as you regarding the strike. Voted no as I don't believe strikes are the answer and I can't afford to miss a day's pay but wont upset my colleagues. Remember if you have a pension to complete a form that means you will not have a break in service, you just have to pay a percentage (I think it's 16%) for the day. Not happy that some unions are paying their members for the strike day and mine isn't.

Came home from work and ordered my car tax on-line (been putting it off as long as poss). It has gone up to £165! One day I see myself with a lovely small car with hardly any tax to pay but always need an estate to cart stuff about.

DD had her favourite of chicken kiev and curly fries (how healthy!) and I have just had some crackers and cheese - too much rubbish at work!
Talking of DD, I can't remember if I told you all that she got the job she went for the other day, starts on Sunday!:j

Have a good weekend all. Take care. XX

Late post from me today. DS took further OD on Wed evening so straight back to hospital which had discharged him Tuesday.... Probably out later on though???? Mad!
Great to see N9eav - used to love his posts when he regularly opened the thread each day. Kepp posting!
JG fingers crossed for your BIL.
Going to Godson's wedding tomorrow... no clothes for winter do so visited Debenhams today and my account is somewhat lighter - but I have a lovely dress, v. useful jacket and some gorgeous shoes! Was fortunate to find their personal shopper who found me the jacket and shoes! Some reductions so not all bad news!
Hve made bread today (first time in ages!) but maybe that's all the OS...0h dear!
have really had a rotten week with nil motivation. Hope to be back to normal soon. take care all!

    Evening all

JackieG - enjoy OH being home, hopefully he can take your mind off BIL (good news there IYKWIM)
    Happy birthday Mr Bramble x

Despite the long trip we had a good meeting in the Valleys, and it was nice to have a long gossip with my boss on the way! And we got the right outcome in the meeting.

The man is still ill so not seeing him tonight. I need to do some uni work anyways, and pack for the weekend.

OS update - WM been on with towels, going on airer now. Going to make a big pot of quick and easy veggie spag bol for tea and freeze the leftovers.

    Have a good evening all

    x

Could be of use here - can't even get me knickers down to have a wee without screaming in agony:eek: (sorry if TMI):D

    Hoppy Birdday Mr Bramble

    (((HUGS))) Jackieg

I'm so glad we'll have a doglet over the Xmas period; it'll be a year on 19th December that Mr LW's DSis1 died; he hasn't spoken to DSis2 since then, and I have a feeling it'll be a hard anniversary for him to deal with, so Sidney's presence will help - he's staying from 17th to 29th December.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • sorry to hear that news JacG......at this stage just take each day as it comes as things can change quite quickly for the good or bad and I don`t really like doctors putting timescales on these kind of things..it is never fair on anyone and it is impossible to say...they don`t have a crystal ball.
I hope he gets through xmas for all your sakes and I hope he is comfortable and painfree bless him..thinking of you allxx
