    Morning All

Just wanted to pop on to send hugs to Taplady and her dear Mum, thinking of you.

Still loads of stuff going on with DS1 and GF, thought we had got things sorted but now apparently I need to apologise for not supporting her throughout her pregnancy and loads of other stuff. She has sent me a quite abusive text and it seems that DS1 has forgotten all he said on Monday and I am the big bad wolf once again.

Anyway, it's Friday and I have work tonight as well as school today. Staff night out tomorrow but I don't think I am really in the mood.

    Take care. XX

    Morning everyone

N9eav - welcome back stranger, good to see you posting x

Cloudy and very wet underfoot but rain has stopped. DH up and off to work at stupid early o'clock. Dinner last night was HM quiche, potato bake, corn on the cob and peas and mushrooms. Tonight it will be chicken kievs for the menfolk and fish and jacket potato for me - easy Friday night dinner.

Was really productive yesterday, got housework done, washing drying and ironing - still a bit left that was in the WM so once that's dry will iron. Also managed to sort my desk out so now can actually see the screen without peering over the top of piles of papers!! Had a mammoth shredding session too.

Today I will be heading to the bank, SM then home to continue with the chores, really want to get last bits done so I don't spend my week's holiday catching up with bits that I should be on top of!! Made some mince pies with the LO pastry from making the quiche base, so will make a victoria sponge and choc brownies I think, may do something else too, also made a loaf yesterday, need to do a menu plan for next week.

Have a great day everyone, hugs to those that need/want them, take care.

    nmlc x

Dundeedoll - I'm off there too tomorrow :). Me and the girls are going to Birmingham for the weekend. Love the Christmas market there.

TGIF! This has been a long first week back in work! TBH I'd love to do nothing this weekend, but that'll have to wait til 2 weekends time, it's hard having a busy social life sometimes! :rotfl:

This afternoon in work I'm off to the Valleys with my boss for a meeting, it's about an hours drive but we taking the minibus so not using my petrol. I'm also going to try do some sneaky uni work in work as my laptop is still playing up. I spoke to Ebuyer yesterday and need to return it for repair or hopefully replacement.

Tonight I may see the man, I was meant to see him yday but he isn't too well (man flu! :rotfl:) so it depends on how he feels. Otherwise I'll just do uni work and pack my weekend bag.

OS wise - laundry needs putting away, If I'm home tonight then I'll make some celery soup as I have none left in the freezer.

    Have a good day all

Morning! :grouphug: to everyone. SO many of you seem to be receiving such sad news or supporting others in hard times, so I think you all deserve lots of :grouphug:. I won't single people out as I'll prob cry like I did when I read the thread yesterday aft. The other women in the office gave me some very odd looks :o

DH is away til Sat eve, so last night I had a mad cooking session and froze 3 portions of bolognaise, 3 chillis and 2 shepherds pies. Tonight, I'm going to make curries and chinese dishes to freeze.

Despite half the bed being free last night, 2 of the cats insisted on fighting over who was going to sleep on my pillow and who was going to sleep on me. Love em though :D

Not much OS today, apart from batch cooking tonight. Going to treat myself to a butty at lunch for a change, seeing as DH is away having fun.

Have a fab day if you can and keep smiling :) xxx

    morning all!

Hello to N9eav and Dundee Doll! nice to see you both posting!

Thanks re the hugs, I'm fine but poor Mum is very upset. She'll be back up here later to organise the funeral. Luckily her friend had a pre-arranged plan so its all paid for and the funeral directors are 2 friends of mine so I know she's in good hands.
My sister is doing all the running around as she's off work atm.

Farmerwife - your pup is gorgeous, hope she likes her coat!:)

JackieG - (((hugs))) - hope you manage a rest later x

Thankyou to some of you on FB last night for lightening the mood:T:D

Not sleeping well at all - hot flushes plus stress dont go well together:mad:
Taplord and I are having a mini break this weekend in Telford - we go every year. I booked a room on Late rooms and got a good deal.
we go to The Pigeon show then hit the shops:) all Christmas shopping done in one weekend.

OS today - just the usual laundry, cleaning etc. Burgers for their tea. I got a lovely spinach and ricotta canelloni for 25p YS in Morrisons last night:T

Have a great day all, looks nice outside today:j
    Do what you love :happyhear
  • Morning chums well the sun is shining here in north Kent but its not that warm and a wee bit damp but seeing that big red thing in the sky does cheer my up.
Just renewed a library book and found another there to read as well Its terrible I can't resist having a look whilst I'm in there I'm sure I spend far too much time reading but I do so enjoy it and it means I'm resting so thats a bonus I suppose.
Well I'm off to have my shaggy locks trimmed at lunchtime then History club afterwards.Tomorrow I have my little guys for the weekend as Dd and OH are off to London to see a show and an overnight stay in an hotel Its son-in-laws birthday and a suprise treat for him from DD.He is such a good chap and they rarely get anytime together with the tribe and he does such a lot to help out so he deserves a bit of a treat bless him.I don't mind as the boys and I will have a great time and they are so used to me being there I never have a problem with them.We will probably get some 'goodies and watch t.v. tomorrow night as they love the X factor ,I don't mind as I can do my knitting just as well at their house as I can at my own.
Right <hugs to those in need >> I'm off for a coffee
    Cheers chums
    JackieO xx

:grouphug: Think we all still need lots of these!
So far today have raced mum to her aunts as home help phoned to say she was ill, she is there waiting for the doctor to call, I have blitzed kitchen, frozen leftover bolognese and cannelloni from yesterday, done WMx2 and am shortly off to get my hair cut.
Moorhen, I am glad it is my day off on wednesday, don't think as a nurse my conscience would let me strike, however coming from a family of shop stewards don't think I could cross the picket line either!
Hope everyone has a better day, catch you all later!
    RIP Iain
