Lurking on here is much more interesting than what I am supposed to be doing.
Had a lovely surprise just now, a book that I'd ordered through Amzn arrived from the bookseller with 2x£1 coins taped to the receipt because they'd found a flaw on the cover. I've yet to find the flaw. Sent back a note of thanks and suggested that they take over BT! How nice to find an ethical business.:)
Lovely bright day here, I should be out wrapping up my garden for the winter, not slaving over a hot, temperamental computer. The vicaress has back to back funerals today so lunch will be a sandwich at my desk and tea will depend on whether or not she has been offered lunch somewhere.
I've made 5 jars of mincemeat for the church fair on Saturday and I have promised to look out some white elephants for them. Having stepped on the scales I could probably provide them with a human elephant, but I don't think that they'd get much for me.:D
I've also provided them with a dressed tree for the Christmas Tree Festival this weekend. This year I've done 'Twinkle, twinkle little star' and the tree is smothered with hanging silver and gold stars and loads and loads of star shaped lights.
Is there anything OS in all this? Maybe not 'Style' but I sure feel 'Old'.
Back to the magazine and lots of love and support to the many who need it.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Dear me that one needs to get a grip and lose the drama <rollseyes>
I know someone who was similar, ended up not speaking for the best part of 2 years. Not sure how she's earning a so called apology by sending abusive texts :mad: Hugs for you, these situations are so hard
Afternoon everyone,
Was round at my mums this morning helping to decorate cupcakes with her for a Christening on Sunday. She was very irritable and my dad has taken the loss quite hard as this was their last remaining pooch. Still time will help, just have to muddle through.
Not planning on doing much apart from a bit of washing and sitting on my butt :rotfl:
Tea will be something with chicken......just not decided what yet

Thanks ladies! Great Aunt has a urinary infection, which has made her more confused, she's 89 next month, a spinster, has dementia and we have kept her at home with support as she doen't like people around her much, however I fear this may be her last winter at home, she is getting more disorientated, doesn't live in the best area and tends to leave the doors unlocked, mum is getting a bit exhausted running after her when I'm at work and there is no-one else to help her.....time will tell, she's about due for her yearly hospital admission with pneumonia, and possibly won't get home from it if it happens! Bigger worry than the kids...RIP Iain

What a day!!!!
Went to bed / got up to the news that BIL may not last more than a few days more. Spent the morning with my sister who was sobbing inconsolably. Went to the hospital at lunchtime, met the consultant, and came home with the news that he should last a good few weeks longer. How long we don't know, as they are too frightened to ask, but its definitely not iminent. Phew. Off to get OH from the airport, thank goodness I have ' good' news to tell him, he was pretty upset this morning.
Hope all are well.
