Tesco Recycling Machines?

I have had repeated trouble at Hatfield Extra. It refuses to accept either my fob or card. went to Customer Services desk and got "fobbed" off.

They claim there are no problems with the machine, but the last three times I have attempted to try it, the machine does not want to scan my card/fob.

I would do 2 cans at a time then put your keyfob in to not lose all the points.

the machines do accept plastic or the 1 we use does,

They do accept plastic but the poster says you only get paid for cans at mine...though if not, I might try it once.

thanks for comments ours says only points on aluminium cans, mine were checked by the magnet trick ala blue peter (irnbru cans).
Dont know how 2 cans at time will work if it does not register the keyfob thingie anyway, round or upside down just get same message then it gives up on me. I will wait till new one arrives a tell you what happens

The card has to be swiped with the strip up for some reason - maybe try that. We have 2 machines, maybe try using the other one?

Yeah, used the one at Telford for the first time last night, you only get points for tins

Yes it only gives points for Cans which is bit strange.

I think cans are probably what have the highest resale value when they sell it on.
