My uncle has the thing heaty thing that looks like a liquidiser and says he uses it regularly.
    A thing heaty thing??

OOh, I would say that's definitely unnecessary.

Tell me, what does he put in his thing heaty thing?

That would depend if they are useless or not :D

Like the staff, some are/some aren't :D. What's even worse is being talked into taking an extended warranty on the useless kit!

If it is a Tefal Le Saucier I have a friend who swears by hers but I wouldn't give them housespace.

BTW, this thread is about what people consider unnecessary/useless pieces of kitchen equipment not (your uncle's) useful pieces. Why not start a necessary/useful thread? :)

Candy floss maker. I think I only used it once, even though I desperately wanted it and finally got it for my birthday years ago.
Yep, I think a candy floss maker would be at the top of my list too. I don't even like the stuff.

    The thread title says:-

What's YOUR most unnecessary/useless piece of kitchen equipment?

...you don't have the item you are 'ranting' about. So maybe you should start a thread about 'the most unnecessary/useless piece of kitchen equipment that is not yours'?:D

Breadmaker, used a few times now in the loft

electric knife, i thought it would help me, rarely used

    coffee machine, rarely used
coffee grinder even more rare to use
raclette machine, good fun used twice this year

meat mincer, OH bought me years ago for one receipe, never been used since

We've got one of them too! Also got a frothy drinks maker and a deep fat fryer gathering dust too.

Use my breadmaker almost every day though.
Here I go again on my own....
