A couple of things got me thinking about this.
There is a thread elsewhere about a broken kettle. One poster suggests buying a cheap kettle as it's always good to have a spare one. I would just boil a pan of water till I got a replacement kettle.
The other thing was an advert I saw for a "soupmaker". I didn't pay a lot of attention but it looked like a liquidiser! I am assuming that besides blending/liquidising, it heats up thus cooking the soup.
Will future generations need one of these to enable them to make a pot of soup?
I'll start the ball rolling with that, then -
A soupmaker

A warning against buying useless kitchen gadgets
I have a smoothie maker that I used once and put in the loft. I got it from my mum, who used it once and put it in her loft.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.

I have got a Kenwood smoothie maker. They are really good, if of course you have all the ingredients in the house to make a smoothie.
I did use it for a bit and then it ended up inside one of the kitchen cupboards.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £19,575.020 -

That would depend if they are useless or not
