O2 sent me one free as well - it's sat on the dining table at home ready for when I get home.

but stupid tmobile insists me paying the same fee as for a lost/stolen replacement sim. I called the store and they charge the same price too:mad:

    That's not fair,

Why/how do they get away with it!

A tip for something they don't make very clear - if you have three or four different email accounts, open one of them, click on settings (The little ... thing), click link inbox and you can then link together email accounts, so you have a single tile for all of them on the home screen, rather than a gmail mail tile, a hotmail tile, a work tile.

Tip 2 - you are listening to a song on the radio - hit the search button (bottom right button on the screen), hit the music note and like Shazam it finds the song for you.

It's not an ugly device that's for sure:

Does need a bit of getting used to coming from CyanogenMod, but I like to try new things, so bring it on :D

It's got a lovely weight to it, don't you think?

I was running CM7 as well - what I like about this is that, for wont of a better word, the fonts and lay-out are a bit more 'grown-up' - got all my accounts up and running, apps like Flixster, IMDB installed with no problems - photos I've uploaded to skydrive are appearing on the phone.

BTW - what was the sky app like? I deleted it straight away, along with the Minster of sound app.

    Some more tips

    * if you hold down the central button - you get voice commands, they are listed here:

    http://www.microsoft.com/windowsphone/en-us/howto/wp7/basics/use-speech-on-my-phone.aspx

    * if you ever find you can't find it, there is a remote find feature built into your account in the windows market, so you can either locate it or remotely wipe it.

    * Also once you've connected it to Zune once on the desktop, you can tell it to autosync with your PC via wifi - it will do this after your phone has been plugged into the mains for ten minutes (so don't worry about it running the battery down!).

Sky app seems OK to me, tap articles, receive news :rotfl:

I do like the weight of it as well, it gives is a 'quality' feel.

The hardware accelerated UI is lovely, everything is smoother than me after a few beers

Coming from Android though, I am annoyed that Angry Birds is a paid app

Yeah - quite a few things are.

Another tip - Nokia drive is a full-featured Sat-nav, however the first time you use it, it needs to download the maps, so worth doing now, so that when you do need to use it a) the maps are set-up and b) you aren't trying to download them over your 3g connection. Once you have them, it will work even without a signal.

Insta-fail... no custom text or email tones.

Custom ring/alarm tones are doable, but it's far more complicated than it should be (for an average user).

Yeah - that is a bit poor, I installed my custom ring-tone earlier but you are right it's too complicated for the average consumer.
