Aldi's version of Pimms is called Austin's and is really excellent. Their Taurus Pear Cider isn't that great, but the Somerset (Orchard summat-or-other) Pear Cider is lovely (99p/bottle).
The Champagne in Aldi at the moment is £12.99 and yummy. I've stored away 2 bottles for Christmas :rotfl::T
I haven't tried any of the others apart from wine, as I don't tend to drink spirits very often. Now, if only Aldi could do a version of Dooleys I'd be the happiest customer ever0 -

I'm sure I spotted one in lidl... they had a few types but one looked very much like Dooleys - above the freezers not with the other spirits. Will try to remember to check. I once made up my own banoffee shot when I was a barmaid... Dooleys and Banana Liqueur mmmmmmmmmmJune Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Anyone know how much the Aldi amaretto is? I want some for cooking but if it's nice enough I could be tempted to actually drink some of it0

I really like Southern comfort but have never been able to find a cheap alternative. I'd really apreciate it if some one knew of one

Aldis Amarretto is £4.99 - and I can vouch for it being eminently drinkable! It has won an award, Silver, I think at the IWSC competition.0

Aldi "Baileys" gets my vote as does their "Pimms" I know it's not Christmassy but worth remembering it's about £5 not £18-£20 a bottle and once you get all the extras in who knows?0
