Hi All.
i cant find a similar thread, but please point me in the right direction if there is one.
I like a good tipple over Xmas, especially Baileys, but find it expensive!
I like the morrisons cheaper baileys type drink (Irish cream liqueur), and have seen a Lidl one for £6.99 for 70cl. Does anyone know if it tastes ok?
Also, does anyone have any tips/recommendations for buying alcohol that tastes the same (or very similar) as the 'real' thing?
Such as Bacardi, Taboo etc?

Thanks candygirl, have you tried it before?0

Aldi one looked good, check they contain Whiskey and not just padded out with wine. Decent copies will be whiskey and cream. The cheapest Tesco one is ok but not really like Baileys. I think I used the Lidl one in my Baileys Tiramisu last year and it was fairly good. My waistline does not thank me for buying it though...June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

On the shopping thread, they were recommending Aldi Amaretto (unfortunately out of stock at my local branch), a coconut rum thing (sorry I don't know what the branded version would be as it's not my sort of drink) and I've also heard good things about their Pimms equivalent.
Sorry I haven't tried any myself but I plan to try the 'Pimms' and Amaretto when I can.0 -
I can recommend Lidl Copper Beech wine, very nice if you dont want something too dry. The rose is sweet and nice for the price.Thoughts to all. Mrs D.
