I think i,m a tad mental at the moment - woke up last night in tears worried that because it was frosty, poor Bruno would be cold in his rsting place - is it normal to have this many tears over a pet? He,s the first we,ve lost.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hello all,
Have been MIA for couple of days so haven't had a chance to read the thread yet. No real reason for not checking in just generally busy and tired only very basic OS done for days (note to self - must try harder!!)
Will go and read up now but hope all as well and warm as can be hoped and if not, then hugs from me.

Loving the wedding stories, especially JackieO's
Well it looks like I've sorted my work/uni problem so I can still attend :j (but that means I've got to knuckle down and do work now!). It was lovely to go back to uni and see all my friends, everyone asked me about my hols and said they had stalked me on Facebook :rotfl:.
I'm having a chill out night tonight, flatmate is away, I'm in my pjs and going to watch crap tv
Have a good evening all

Evening All,
Sorry I have been such an intermittent poster lately, just can't always bring myself to talk, although I am reading, laughing, crying, cheering and admonishing alongside you all.
I have been on a bit of a declutter mission a la esmf, although mine is not as successful, I fear. I have however, given some of the bys' old things, including an ELC wooden castle and knights, etc. to a young man I work with, for his wee boy for Christmas. I had been contemplating putting it away for my grandchildren, but its not exactly an heirloom, and with all this redundancy talk at work, he would be better keeping his money in the bank. Its in lovely condition, and I am delighted to think the wee boy will enjoy playing with it. He also got a nice new to him bikeI have been doing a wee bit every night, and it is making a difference, although I have been ill the last couple of days, and that has slowed me down. DH is home Friday, and I would like the house to look a lot different for him
I have a pot of soup in the SC to cook overnight, and will take some to work in the morning, and the boys will have some for dinner with HM sausage rolls.
Life is getting sadder here by the day, BIL is not doing at all well, he's had his stent replaced but the cancer has spread even further and he's having secondary symptoms now. The palliative care team are trying to balance his painkilling needs with his desire to remain lucid and functioning, and struggling to manage. DSIS sounds very close to the edge, and I am struggling to find the words for her.
Hugs to you all, especially islandmaid.
