    Morning all,
Well, after catching up on the last 2 days posts I just had to come in and say to all who have given advice, expressed their conserns etc. Thank you all so much, for those who appologised for their posts.... Don't be daft, of course I'm not offended, I'm rather touched.:o I have taken onboard all comments and having stood back I accept that I have been over doing it.
I think my moaning was due to me being so tired, DH has given strict instructions to slow down so y/day all I did was wrap prezzies cook diner and 1 lot of washing.
Today the fitters are doing the Solar panels at last, they should have started on Monday. They will need to run electrics through the house, it's clean and tidy so not worried about that but I'm not looking forward to the mess they will no doubt make. :(
I've a cake in the oven and lots of coffee ready for them.
As they are late fitting the panels it may not be finished in time for DH's family get together on Saturday, unknown to me DH phoned all of them earlier and cancelled the do.:T He didn't think it fair for me to cope with it all. Bless him, mmmhhhh you sure you lot haven't had a word with him ??? ;)
Right off to check the cake.
Bless you all for your endless kindness. :A

bramble get shopping! you could have it all done in a day :) essentials magazine (i have to read this at work, i don't actually buy any magazines) set a woman a challenge of xmas shopping, decorating, cards and prep in 12 hours... with a baby in tow! She managed it just about. They also had some terrible "tips" for a stress free christmas such as buying everyone the same book and wrapping presents in tin foil :rotfl: lots of garbage about m&s party food and people wishing guests would bring posh m&s nibbles. don't these people have ovens to make their own?

Another average day for me really, lecture, work, uni work, bake bread, hm soup for dinner. I did most of my shopping for food, toiletries, odds and ends yesterday and my bags were so heavy I was almost crying on the way home! There's no useful bus route to tempt me so I sweated it out (literally urg) for the 1.5 mile walk. But I forgot washing powder again
Does using value powder/liquid and adding a few drops of essential oil really work?
Living cheap in central London :rotfl:

Hi everyone - didn't get a very good night's sleep here due to the sound of a dog howling all night. I had to get up and close the window in the end, but I worried about the dog all the time. The French are not very kind to animals, not even their pets. I don't think the dog was in pain but it was obviously distressed and probably lonely. The owners are there, so how they can stand it, I don't know. Mind you, they all close their shutters at night here and seal themselves off from the outside world, so I doubt if they can hear anything! I like a window open and we don't use the shutters at the bedroom windows; it seems so unhealthy to sleep all sealed up like that. I'd report it to someone but a) no-one else would care and b) if they did, and took the dog away, from what I've heard, the rescue centres are pretty dire. I really don't know what to do.

Anyway, Jackie0 - would love to see a photo of the finished blankie - it sounds gorgeous!

Beth - sounds like you did quite a lot yesterday, anyway. I know it's hard to take it easy when you're not used to it, isn't it?

It seems that there are lots of coughs and colds about lately. I've not long got over one, and the only thing that I could rely on to get some relief was Lemsip (they do a breath-easy one which helps congestion). I can't find it for sale here, and I've used up all that I brought back from the UK on our last visit, so it's definitely on my huge shopping list for when we go back for Christmas! I think we'll need a trailer for all the things I need to bring back with us.

JG - hope DS is feeling better soon, poor thing.

Redruby - your poor brother, and those poor children. It doesn't bear thinking of.

Well, dinner tonight is shepherd's pie so that will be easy to do. I've done all the prepping for it.

I have some online work to do, then I shall do some Christmas wrapping, I think. I can't find my box of Christmas cards so I shall have to look for them later. With all the renovation work on the house, we've moved things so many times that I've lost track of some things. I'm a bit cross with DH because he was moving stuff a couple of months ago and asked where I wanted all the Christmas wrapping stuff and cards to go, and I just said to leave them where they will be easy to find - of course, he can't remember now!

Anyway, I'd better go and put the washing on the line.

    Have a good day, everyone.

  • Morning my lovelies :D

Been awake on and off since 4.30am thanks to DD. Spent an hour in bed with her before giving up and us both heading back to mine. I swear she does that on purpose!
Heading round to my mums to play with icing and make more reindeer :) so s*d the housework today :rotfl: Get me getting all rebellious ;)
Off to Forest Schools with DD this afternoon so need to wrap up warm.....brrrr it's chilly out there. And about bloomin' time too :T

Tea is a makeshift as I have tap class. Shhhh don't tell anyone but played hooky from cake class night and it was bliss to be at home :o Will drag my tired butt to tap though or I have to pay half fees.

    hugs and spoons all round.

Redruby - hugs for your brother. He does need to get some legal advice. Imagine him having to pay maintenance for the kids and it being spent of furnishings while they go hungry  I think he needs to start documenting this stuff and see if he could get custody.

Beth - glad you are taking it easy xxx

Bargainbird - how about hunters chicken? <drools> a BBQ sauce topped with melted cheese and bacon if you have it :)

Hugs for NPM, Lou, JacG, Beemuzed and anyone else I've missed :o

I made some Christmas cards last night. Pics are on the usual place if you want to be nosy.

    Morning everyone, sorry afternoon!

So busy this morning that I haven't managed to get on till now.
The kids school is being inspected for the next 2 days so I had to make sure that DS follows the uniform rules otherwise he will end up with yet another Friday night uniform detention.

All your positive vibes worked well for DD2. She made the team and has been picked for a match this Sunday, she is really happy and as my friend once said to me, you can only be as happy as your happiest child.

Thank you all of you for putting up with my trivial request when a lot of you are having such difficult times in your lives.
Hugs to Lou, Beemuzed, JackieG and especially NPM, my thoughts are with you and your difficult dilemma.

Tea tonight is something made with left over roast chicken, I fancy a pasta bake.

Have a lovely rest of day everyone.:)

    Hiya all,

A quick post today as I have nothing to say, as usual my day and life is boring. At work until late and no os to report.

Mind you, I was up and out in the garden at 6.20 this morning. Pitch black as no light out there, I was frantically moving all my pot plants into the makeshift greenhouse I have to try and save them from the frost. :rotfl: My neighbour would have thought I was mad if they had seen me, running around, dressing gown flapping hefting large plant pots and for what? Seeing as the frost had already been, it's probably too late now and I've lost them.

But boy, was I awake this morning after that! :D

    Have a good day everyone.

Right, I have started my xmas shopping list. Then i need to scout online for the best prices, then either order online OR i will go to town on Monday and get it all done.

We've decided not to have a tree this year as both OH and I won't be around, but i will get some things for the matle peice and a wreath for the front door and things like that so there is a christmassy feel. We have fairy lights instead of proper lights in most rooms in the house, so there is always a twinkle around anyway.

Going to make Christmas cards on sunday too and get them posted.

    Organised me!
