Apparently...

• One HR manager to authorise lightbulb purchase as part of VDU assessment
• One Facilities manager to place order then completely fail to communicate for a month
• One line manager to get angry enough to interfere in both HR process for not chasing and Facilities for not bl***y doing (me )
• One Finance manager to untangle bizarre ordering of Facilities department
• One senior manager to undertake a$$-kicking to ensure that Occ Health stuff is not ignored again

Plus one VDU assessor, one receptionist to chase up order, one IT guy to stand on ladders and investigate, and one finance bod to find out what the heck Facilities were doing to start with.

I reckon these lightbulbs will have effectively cost over £500 apiece by the time we get the darn things!! :mad::mad::mad:

• Remembered to get petrol for driving north, so don't have to do on morning of trip
• Dance lesson confirmed
• Job application only needs one more reference confirmed and experience summary entering, so can go in tomorrow night
• Spent half the day fixing stuff that's not my job, but it means now have info to start fixing it longer term
• Remembered am away for weekend so no need for food shop

• Remembered must do car checks on tyres etc before trip - not favourite job. Where's the chauffeur when I want him?
• Wondering what am in for at dance lesson :rotfl:
• Spent half the day fixing stuff that's not my job, which meant other stuff not done
• Distracted after being in crisis management mode all morning, which led to lunchtime M&S episode. There were Reversy Percys involved - but rest of office helped eat them :T
• Christmas cards starting to arrive, haven't done anything about sending any

Also had a text about a friend of friend interested in housesharing - would be cheaper than renting alone and mean we could get a place with a garden. And central heating :j Have met the guy briefly and he seemed sane, so did his girlfriend - although I thought they lived together, so must check if I could be sharing with a heartbreak-addled nutcase before agreeing to anything. (Am not being mean - honestly think everyone is bonkers for min. 6 weeks after serious break-up. Can probably cope if I have fair warning.)


Off to do some serious 'goddessing' (to pinch a Lula term) in case mirrors are involved at dance lesson :rotfl:

Can't remember the last time I had that much time off and it didn't involve an exam of some sort :eek:. Taking one more day than originally planned for the Edinburgh trip :j - and because adding up leave properly means I need to use some before the end of March!
