  • Nose away to your heart's content! x
  • Not sure if I mentioned it at the time, but a few months ago I bought a terramnudi. We have a (not so sealed) pot but that became too easy to raid when we needed some change for parking or whatever, so decided this was the only option! :o We've made a rule that it is only £1 & £2 coins to go in there, when we have them and can spare them, (which isn't often), but this week we have both manage to put quite a few in there - around £10 or so. :) We're only going to smash it when it's full, so it may turn into a pension pot by that time! Theoretically, it's a holiday fund, but by the time we've filled it we'll be too old to travel!

  • It's great to hear all of this good news. You must be so proud that you acted on your idea, built the website and now have orders coming in.

And what a nice surprise with the loan.

I'm so pleased things are going well for you :D

  • Hi DFSD
I'm a long time lurker, you're diary has been very inspiring for me. Can you PM me the link to your website as well? I'm fascinated!
  • Wow, orders have been absolutely flying in and I'm getting at least one, sometimes two high value international orders a day via Etsy, as well as UK orders via the Facebook shop. I can't believe how well it's doing! I've made quite a lot of money, but not sure how much is profit (if any) yet as I still haven't added up how much I've spent on this so far. When I get a quiet moment (pfffft!) I'll add it all up.
  • Blimey, you are in demand :D

Methinks you have a busy weekend coming up.

    Take care x

  • It was a very busy weekend Chocs, but thans to my lovely parents who came to stay, and lent a massive pair of hands with everything, it was all completed really early. ;) I even managed to work on some other bits and pieces I'd not previously had time for.

I have 3 more orders in today so far, totalling around £120, and possibly a fourth yet TBC, so I shall crack on with those tonight.

I also had a surprise inheritance given to me at the weekend of £1000.

The most sensible thing to do with this would be to pay it off our debt, I suppose, but I can't bring myself to do it, thinking about the person I received it from. I have put the money into my ISA and have mentally allocated it as the start of my 'moving home' fund. Hopefully in the not too distant future we'll be able to add to it and build a pot of money to help us to relocate back to my home town to be around my family and friends.

Speaking of which, several well paid jobs are coming up in that area at the moment, perfect for DH. Unfortunately they've all been part time and are pro rata so will not be enough money. Grrrr. I just wish a flippin good full time, permanent job would come our way for one of us so we can go home. DS was so sad at the weekend when my parents had to leave, as were they. He spent all Sunday and this morning walking round our house looking for them and shouting their names. Makes me very sad. :(
  • Just paid £371.48 off the credit card debt (to be precise ;)) from the business earnings. :) This was what I spent on the credit card to get the business up and running, so that's cleared from the card now. There's still money left in the business account, and more being transferred from Paypal, so I think (hope) I've made a profit by now.
