Had a really speedy £16 paid in from quidco which I wasn't expecting as was from the bingo deal I did just last week! That will help towards some Christmas gift buying this month.0

Another couple of items have sold on ebay. I still haven't got round to listing the winter baby clothes and other bits I've found, but have photographed them, so one step closer to listing!
Yesterday I received my large order of fabric and bits that I have been waiting on to proceed with making items for my website. Tonight I shall start making the minimum I need to enable me to photograph them and upload them to the web. I really want to get it done as quickly as possible as I have a couple of Christmas items which I obviously need to start selling soon before I miss the market.
Hubby put a chicken in the slow cooker for our dinner tonight which should make enough for a meal tomorrow too. At the weekend I made a huge casserole pan of healthy bean/lentil/roasted veg/tomato casserole which was lovely and has lasted enough for us for lunches for two days. It made around 8 large portions and we all enjoyed it, so I shall make another this weekend and freeze some portions for lunches.
Last year I booked a midweek break for ourselves and 4 inlaws to go away in December. It was extremely cheap as I'd booked it so far in advance; I see the same break is 4 times the price now! It is at a place only an hour away from us, but it is a bit of a Winter Wonderland, so hopefully Ds will enjoy it. The inlaws have now all paid their share, so the balance was paid off yesterday. We managed to pay for our share via ebay profit, so am really happy we didn't have to resort to using the credit card. Of course, I paid for it on the CC and then immediately transferred the money over, just to get the clubcard points!0 -
I'm making progress with my home business. I've now registered the business through HMRC and am getting closer to getting the website up and running. Unfortunately I had a major set back a couple of days ago when a memory stick corrupted and I lost LOADS of work. I guess it's a lesson to back everything up thoroughly. Tonight I need to finish making one more product and then work on some more product photos.0

Hi
Just catching up with your posts. You seem to be doing well moneywise. I have been away this week which was lovely. Back to reality now...
I came back to find out I didn't get a place in the London Marathon. The odds of getting a place are low (about 1 in 6, I think), so no big surprise and I'll have to try again next year. To be honest, my leg is still injured so I would have been starting to push my luck with getting ready in time (the race is early April). I should have time to train properly if I get in the following year!
Your website seems to be going well and I hope you get some interest when you go live. I know what you mean about backing up data and sorry to read you had to redo a lot of work. I hardly ever back up this laptop but would be lost if the data went. Maybe I'll do that later today!
Best wishes xMortgage, draw down Sept 2014: £222,000

Hiya Rose, nice to hear from you again.
I'm doing ok thanks, very busy and very tired, but hopefully all this extra work will be worth it soon!
How are you these days?0 -
Sorry to hear you didn't get a place in the marathon Chocs, although it does sound like you may have done yourself even more of an injury if you'd started to train harder. At least you've made the first step towards taking part in it and can now be better prepared for next year - fingers crossed on no more injuries!0

We had quite a nice weekend and reasonably DFW of us too.
We went out for the day on Saturday and used £50 worth of clubcard vouchers for a nice lunch for the three of us. Whilst out, we bought MIL a Christmas gift which was £14.99 reduced from £50, so a bit of a bargain.
I also managed to get half of the latest batch of clothes and bits listed on ebay, but got too tired to do any more last night. I shall list the rest tonight. Some of the items have bids on already and a few watchers, which is promising.
This morning I've listed a bulky item for sale locally which, if sold, will net us £100. I think I may have to reduce the price to sell though, but worth a try in the first instance.
Both credit cards have had payments made on them this weekend too, which has brought the balance down a little.0 -
Fingers crossed for a sale at £100.
I'm jealous of your bidders and watchers on ebay. I put a few things on yesterday and really hoping some of them sell. There are a couple of bulky items which I would be delighted to shift out of the spare room and, of course, get the cash.Mortgage, draw down Sept 2014: £222,000

Made about £35ish on ebay yesterday which isn't bad considering I still haven't got round to listing the rest of the items. They've all paid up already too which is a first for a long time.
FINALLY got my website up and running too, so hopefully there will be a trickle of orders in from there very soon, fingers crossed.
Must try and list rest of items for ebay tonight and sort/photograph some more of Ds's winter clothes he seems to have outgrown again!0
