  • Morning all x

Had quite a good night of sleep for us, thankfully - only up a couple of times with Ds. That's the first in about two weeks so was much needed! We've all had coughs and colds too so are all feeling a little run down.

I've had some more orders from my FB/website which is quite exciting. I've made just over £100 now which is really good considering I've only been up and running since Sunday.

Yes chocs, I can view the number of hits, but I think this is drastically exaggerated at the moment as it seemed to be counting my visits when editing the page too. I had a look at how to get it on google a couple of days ago but was way too tired for any of it to make sense. used to be really technically minded with a razor-sharp memory, now I'm sure pregnancy and subsequent sleep deprivation have played a part in turning part of my brain into marshmallow as I struggle with such things these days!

I have registered and opened an etsy shop but there's nothing in it yet, so my next project is to get my products uploaded to there. The fees seem quite reasonable on etsy.

Anyway, shower time and start the day now. Have a good day all x
  • After a slow couple of days on my website, I had some more orders in over the weekend totalling around the £200 mark which has boosted my mood greatly! Tonight I need to start production of some of the items and today I've had to order some more supplies which have cost around £7.

I have also opened a shop on Etsy which has brought in one overseas order. I need to look into how to get to 'more popular' on there, but that's on a long to-do list.

More annoying news, is that I've had a 'not as described' email from an ebay buyer. The buyer that I had a feeling I would get a problem with and who has grossly overpaid for the item. I had a feeling she would be trouble. She is stating the item is not as described which is untrue, just waiting to see what I get back from her...
  • Wow, all these orders so soon - you are doing so well with the website :j That will keep you busy for a while!

Ebay can be so stressful can't it? It is not nice to have someone effectively accusing you of lying or misrepresentation :(. Hang in there; these people do go away eventually and most people are nice :).

  • Thanks Chocs, yes, I do take it as a personal attack when a buyer basically calls me a liar! I know I shouldn't, but it's hard not to. The item concerned was a lovely little outfit of DS's that had some lovely memories attached to it, so it made me feel even worse! I know it was in perfect condition, I just hope the buyer returns it as it was sent.

I received one more order last night which I can turn around quite easily within the next day or two. Last night I was working until 11pm trying to get a lot of the sewing work completed for a large order I received at the weekend. Thankfully I achieved a lot and also managed to finish and pack my first international order, ready for posting today. I'm just being uber-aware not to let orders stack up as each takes a lot of time to make, so am trying to turn them around as soon as I receive them. It's always nice for people to get their orders quickly too.
  • Ooh, exciting news! I just phoned to check the balance on our loan account as I had got quite confused as to how much we presently owe. It's about £1000 less than I thought AND it's due to be paid off in November next year!!! That's only 13 payments left - woo hoo!

  • Hi blushingrose

I haven't posted the link to the shop on here due to the whole self-promotion thingy, but have pm'd you the link for you to take a look if you'd like to.
