I really must start doing eBay type things.
I can't get past the idea that we have nothing worth selling! Our LBM: Dec 2011. DMP started: Jan 2012. Debt at LBM: £41,568
Oct 2012 = Current debt: £40,548.93

Hi rose, these eBay items were mostly small things to be honest, lots of baby clothes and paraphernalia, a few of my clothes I no longer wear and some baking type items. The cheapest item went for 99p and the most expensive was £21, so nothing of huge value, it just all adds up! Good luck x0

£278 from a few things!!!!!!!!!! Did you sell DH as well?
Seriously, that is amazing. I think you have inspired us all to have another look in those cupboards to see if there anything to sell.Mortgage, draw down Sept 2014: £222,000
Now: £173,2290 -
No chocs, unfortunately he's only good for spares or repair at the moment with his broken bones, so wouldn't make that much!
I'm totally shocked too to be honest, I've been raiding the cupboards for more 'stuff' ever since!0 -
Payday tomorrow, so I've updated the signature with this month's loan figure. It's going down slowly, but surely.
Tomorrow afternoon I'm going to work out this month's budget. We're overdrawn but only by £24, and that's mostly from eBay postage. Once the money is transferred from paypal the bank account will look quite healthy!
I'm still waiting for 3 buyers to pay up on eBay too, hopefully they will soon, it's been 2 days now.0 -

Thanks chuck. I really must start looking round the house with eBay eyes lol
We've also got a bit of stuff we could car boot, but we've never done anything like that before, wouldn't even know how to price things up!Our LBM: Dec 2011. DMP started: Jan 2012. Debt at LBM: £41,568

I have 14 more items ending on eBay tomorrow, so far bids are around the £25 mark which isn't too bad. it'll all go towards paying off the cc balance, as has the quidco payment of £30 which we just received. I didn't pay off as much as I'd hoped this week afterall, was expecting it to be over £500, bit it's nearer £400 as I treated myself to a new bag to carry all Ds's bits around in and put some towards other things that needed paying. I felt guilty spending money on a bag as it was relatively expensive, but I do love it!
We picked up loads of clothes for Ds in much bigger sizes in the teaco sale recently, paying no more than £5 for anything (which was a coat). Most stuff was £2 a piece, so he should now not need any new clothes until he's 4!
I have been a bit frivolous with the grocery budget this month and we've done a big shop in sainsbury's twice this month rather than aldi, purely through laziness, but it means our grocery budget has been eaten up very quickly. There's around £80 in there now, but we do have £24 in credit on the sainsbury's website which should help a little.
Had the 'you're no longer entitled to tax credits, you earn too much' letter yesterday which put us both in a foul mood. That's another £40 a month we'll be down from April. Wehave been trying to think of ways we can make that, at least, up every month, but are failing presently.0 -
Another £50 made on the latest eBay auctions:j
I've also listed another baby item tonight which could potentially make us over £200 if it sells. I've listed it as a buy it now as I wouldn't want to risk it selling for too little. Fingers crossed it sells.0 -
DFSD, I had the no more tax credits letter as well - put me in a vile mood and resulted in a bit of trantrum on facebook about whether they were taking £40.00 off the scroungers and the layabouts on benefits as well. It didn't help but made me feel better briefly. It seems you take one step forward and three back sometimes doesn't it.
Fingers crossed about your ebay listing this evening. I have my camera battery charging at the moment and I will hopefully get some things listed ;-)Just keep swimming!0
