    I took the other option:

    Move the router to behind the TV (where there was a phone socket already);
    Connect up the Sky box to the router by ethernet cable;
    Plug a cheap Wifi USB dongle into the desktop - to make it wireless instead of wired.
    Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

    Sorry, "the TV" meant "my only" TV.

    They basically route your broadband through the electrical sockets of your home.

  • I just got a wireless bridge for mine and it works just as well as the Sky Wireless Connector, it was easy to set up. Pity about the Anytime TV service though there is not really very much readily available to watch so you do have to plan what you want to download in advance :(

    Once you start the download, the movie or programme becomes available to watch almost immediately.

    Dunno, do you have a very slow connection speed?
    Perhaps your wireless bridge isn't as effective as you thought?
  • Ah yes it would be the slow connection speed, I think they advised to let it dl overnight..... we live away out in the sticks and are lucky to have internet never mind fast internet lol ;)
